00:12Reports surrounding the Minnesota Vikings and Aaron Rodgers have been fascinating to

00:15follow. Obviously, there are many who want Rodgers to follow the same career path as

00:20Brett Favre, who infamously got traded from the Packers to the Jets, left the Jets in

00:26free agency, and then joined the Minnesota Vikings, and then the 2009 season nearly

00:32resulted in a Super Bowl. With how low to the Minnesota Vikings roster is in 2025, there

00:37are some parallels to those situations, but that 0-19 was so desperate for a quarterback

00:42they would have done anything to get Brett Favre in the building. These Minnesota Vikings

00:45are not nearly as desperate. They have J.J. McCarthy, and the whole Aaron Rodgers situation

00:50felt odd, especially with how the reporting went. You had the people from the Athletic

00:55Breeding very steadfast about the Vikings having serious interest in Aaron Rodgers.

01:04Well, it's not happening, as Tom Pelosero of NFL Network reported earlier on Wednesday

01:10that they were not going to be pursuing Aaron Rodgers, and this is the J.J. McCarthy era.

01:15It was also interesting that they said that the Vikings had gotten trade offers and trade

01:20discussion calls for J.J. McCarthy. Now, considering they were apparently looking at

01:26Aaron Rodgers, not abnormal. You should always call on trade, guys. Hey, I want this kind

01:31of trade. Let's call. It's very interesting to kind of see how the NFL is reacting to

01:36this news, and this also means that Aaron Rodgers is probably going to choose his home

01:39rather quickly. You have the New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers. They're the two

01:44most likely spots for the 41-year-old quarterback who's about to go into the Pro Football Hall

01:49of Fame within the next decade, but it's best that it's not the Minnesota Vikings.

01:53They don't need that kind of cancer in the locker room. They don't need to bring him

01:57in who likes to create all these hand signals with his wide receivers, then yells at them
