00:00And I'm just looking, you know, from 2001 to 2006, with one of those years having status on the PGA Tour in 2004.
00:08What do you remember most about that span of time?
00:11Because, you know, you're coming off a college of, wait, 90.
00:15I mean, it wasn't too long ago where you're just now playing your first AJGA event.
00:19Now you're playing in a qualifier.
00:21We didn't play for six weeks.
00:22And somehow four years later, you're, you know, you're playing professional golf.
00:26Yeah, I had a decent college career.
00:29I won a couple of times.
00:30I was an All-American a couple of times, All-SEC.
00:33But it wasn't a sure thing.
00:35And the thing that's weird about golf is anybody can turn pro, right?
00:39You don't really know how it's going to go.
00:42Obviously, the guys that are All-Americans and those high-ranked players, people think are going to be part of the tour.
00:49But I certainly wasn't one of those guys.
00:52But, you know, I set out to be a professional.
00:54I rounded up some money.
00:56My parents gave me some money.
00:57I had some friends in town that gave me some money.
00:59I started with about $30,000.
01:02And I went and played the Golden Bear Tour, which was a summer professional tour.
01:07It was in Palm Beach.
01:08Yeah.
01:08We played all those courses down and around Jupiter.
01:13Our tour championship was at the Bears Club, which had just opened.
01:16Sick.
01:16So, yeah, it was one of those things where it was like a whole summer.
01:21You wrote a check for X amount of dollars.
01:24And it's pretty much organized gambling is what it is.
01:28Everybody's paying about $1,000 a week.
01:30There's some fees taken out for running the tournament.
01:32And you're just seeing kind of where you stack up and how you stack up and trying to make some more money so you can keep going.
01:40And obviously, back then, the Q School was a big thing in the fall.
01:44So, you know, I went down there and I had some success.
01:47I played well.
01:48I didn't win, but I was making money, and I actually was able to kind of bankroll that into continuing to play on the mini tours.
01:56My first go-around at Q School, I think I got through first stage, but I didn't make past second.
02:02So, you kind of find other tournaments around to go play.
02:05We play some in Jacksonville in the winter and Atlanta in the spring.
02:09And then I plan to go back down to South Florida in 2001.
02:14And you get off weeks, so every time you got an off week, maybe you'd go chase a qualifier, you know, if you could.
02:21So, I ended up Monday qualifying for an event in Hershey, Pennsylvania on what is now the Corn Fairy Tour on an off week early in the Golden Bear season that year in the summer.
02:33And I finished, like, I think, 12th or so.
02:36And back then, top 25 got you in the next one, and the next one was in Wichita.
02:41So, I packed my bags and went to Wichita and ended up winning the second Corn Fairy.
02:47I think it was Buy.com back then.
02:49Yeah.
02:50Event, and that gave me status.
02:52So, you know, from there, you're just going with it.
02:56I almost got my card.
02:57I think they took 15 or so that year that I played to the tour, and I ended up finishing 20th with about half of the season play.
03:08So, I felt good about it.
03:11The next two years were a bit of a struggle.
03:13I ended up keeping my card, but I wasn't close to, you know, making it on tour.
03:19And then 2003, I had a big year.
03:21I think I finished about fourth or fifth on the money list, and 2004 was my first year on tour.
03:26So, here's the end of Wichita, and I was going with him.
03:30I really was going with them to where I did the first thing.
03:32So, I stopped, so I was going with him being a star.
03:35So, you were going with us on tour.
03:36So, I was going with you, boy.
03:36I know you're going to come-跟你ent-1, beta, Zoys, like Is that you had to work with gold?
03:41And then it was discounted.
03:42And then later, the grand thing that made us feel like 15 years' first!
03:44So, I'm going to work with a player, whitetky, right?
03:45Like me?
03:46So, let's click a player.
03:48I mean, I can do a player, flip it, but I'm onlyindo mean there.
03:48The power there.
03:49You can't do some people?
03:50Yeah, sorry, but it can be fake извест and you.
