00:00Hi, I'm digital reporter Amy Seddon and welcome to another edition of Five Things to Do Next Week across central Lancashire and the South Coast.
00:11First up in Preston, top DJ Andy Carroll performs at Chew's Yard over the band holiday weekend.
00:18Andy will take to the stage at the Preston venue on Saturday May 1st at 8pm.
00:24The veteran of the dance music scene has been mixing house music up with other cool dance floor sounds since 1986.
00:32Andy starts many great nights in his home city of Liverpool, including the legendary Super Club Cream,
00:38where he was one of three original founders and was resident there for 10 years,
00:43before travelling the globe and then bringing the night to the Iron of Ibiza.
00:47Limited tickets are now available, costing £11.25.
00:50In Chorley, critically acclaimed comedian Jamali Maddox brings his new show, Aston, to Chorley Theatre on Friday May 30th.
01:01Expect Jamali's trademark, brutally honest and unflinching perspectives on the world at large.
01:07His last tours have sold out shows across the globe, playing the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia and North America.
01:14Tickets are still available for Jamali's Chorley gig, with tickets costing £22.
01:22Over on the Fowled Coast, Everybody's Talking About Jamie is on at the Blackpool Grand Theatre between Wednesday May 28th and Saturday May 31st.
01:31Fresh and contemporary, with an extraordinary mother and son relationship at its centre,
01:37Everybody's Talking About Jamie celebrates acceptance, belonging, the power of unconditional love of a mother for her child,
01:44and how good life is when everybody is the best they can be.
01:48This performance is brought to you by the Blackpool and Fowled Light Opera Company,
01:52following their award-winning production of The Wizard of Oz The Musical at The Grand in 2023.
01:59There are evening shows, plus a matinee, and tickets cost £20.
02:05The Blackpool Comedy Festival is then on all of next week.
02:09Developed in collaboration with Manfred's Comedy Club, and supported by Blackpool Tourism Business Improvement District,
02:15the 2025 Festival is a true partnership between the town's venues, artists and creatives.
02:22Between Saturday May 24th and Monday June 1st, expect a diverse programme that combines headline comedy shows,
02:30street performances, workshops and family-friendly events.
02:35Highlights next week include performances by Justin Morehouse and America's Got Talent winner Paul Zerdin,
02:40as well as the Manfred's Comedy Club, featuring Russell Howard, Maisie Adam, Emmanuel Sanubi and Hayley Ellis next Sunday.
02:49Finally, in Fleetwood, Russell Point Tower is holding an open day on the bank holiday Monday, May 26th.
02:57Open between 10am and 4pm, the event is free to attend, but charity donations are welcome.
03:03Attendees will get to visit the operations room, enjoy the rooftop view, talk to watchkeepers about their work,
03:11and listen to water safety information.
03:14A cake stall, a tombola and more are also planned.
