Join Joe DeLeone and Ryan Roberts as they delve into the highlights of 5-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan from Benjamin Russell High School in Alabama. As a top prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, Morgan's impressive performance has garnered attention from major programs like Alabama, Ohio State, and Clemson. In this breakdown, discover what sets Morgan apart on the field and why he's considered one of the nation's elite WR recruits.
00:00Five-star wide receiver Sidarian Morgan will be a program changer no matter where he goes.
00:05Stay tuned to find out why we believe he will be a highly impactful receiver early on in his career.
00:15Ryan, it's really hard to find these big catch point receivers that can move like Sidarian Morgan.
00:23What caught your attention with him?
00:24Well, Joe, I think first and foremost, Morgan is one of the most unique wide receivers in the 2026 class because there aren't a ton of like these big, long boundary type wide receivers in the class just kind of nationally.
00:36But then also when you're talking about a program and that is any program across college football, they want this type of player, right?
00:44Like it's easy to find 5'11", 180 pounds, guys that can run routes like those guys are probably the easy players to find.
00:52You can't often find 6'4", 210 that can run like the wind and be able to threaten vertically.
00:57Like this is just kind of the uniqueness of the football player and the uniqueness of the profile that every team needs in the boundary.
01:04Yeah, you just don't see a lot of guys like this at 6'4", over 200 pounds that are able to move and contort his body the way that he can.
01:12Then also to have the play strength already to dominate in those contested spots.
01:17His highlights are pretty funny because there's plenty of tape out there where he's just bodying and boxing out these little DBs that are not going to be playing SEC football like he probably will be.
01:28One thing that I love, Ryan, when I'm watching a guy is not doing my background on him until after I watch him.
01:35So I like to watch a guy and then see what I can find out.
01:38My number one thought was, this dude's probably really freaking good at basketball and lo and behold, he is a first team All Outlook selection in Alabama and he was averaging 14.4 points per game, 11.3 rebounds per game in high school.
01:56So he's averaging a double-double and he absolutely plays like it.
02:00No, he does and I think that that is a pretty typical kind of background for some of these legit five-star level boundary receivers.
02:08I mean, they know how to win above the rim, obviously, right?
02:10They know how to win through contact.
02:12They know how to go up and attack the football at its highest point, which that basketball background obviously shines through in Morgan's game.
02:19So I really think that he's a rarity for programs across college football, no matter who it is, ultimately.
02:25Because obviously he's a kid from the state of Alabama, so the two schools that have been most plugged in into his recruitment have been the two Alabama schools, right?
02:33The Crimson Tide and the Auburn Tigers.
02:36Well, think about it this way, Joe.
02:37From the Alabama side, when have they been their most dynamic historically?
02:42You think about guys like Julio Jones, guys that can unlock the attributes around him, right?
02:47You love these dynamic space players, but the boundary receivers, the attention that they create just makes for a guy that can completely change and alter how your offense is ultimately structured.
02:59And then for Auburn, what is happening right this second?
03:02We see what Cam Coleman can do with this team.
03:04Now you bring in Eric Singleton for the 2025 season and you're rebuilding that wide receiver room.
03:08But it all cycles around that big contested catch, boundary receiver, a guy that has going to take eyeballs from the third level and be able to create opportunities for players around him.
03:19Quickly to highlight his background here where he stands in the 2026 class per the 247 Sports Composite Ranking.
03:27He is the number two receiver overall, the 11th ranked recruit nationally, and is the number one player in the state of Alabama.
03:34This is one of the few premier guys that you're going to find in this 2026 class.
03:40And I wouldn't be shocked if we're not talking about him in his freshman year being one of the best freshman receivers in the country.
03:48Well, I mean, his body type is obviously very college ready as it stands today.
03:53Like there's some other dynamic wide receivers in the class, but a lot of the wide receivers that you think of nationally, as far as dynamic, like Tristan Keys out of the state of Mississippi,
04:01they are a little bit more kind of high cut, slender frame.
04:05They're probably not going to play through contact really well as a freshman.
04:07But a guy like Morgan, day one, is going to be able to compete against some high level, physical press man corner on the next level.
04:15So I really think that that physicality, the body type, is going to translate very, very well.
04:19And I think that he's going to have one of the biggest instant impacts in the class because of just the natural physicality he brings to the game.
04:24Folks, comment below your thoughts on Morgan, what you're excited to see from him.
