00:00Hello, after plenty of fine and settled weather over the weekend there are a
00:04chance of some welcome showers as we head through the new week and we've got
00:09a few showers around already this evening across southern parts of Scotland.
00:12They'll sink their way southwards affecting parts of Wales as we go
00:16through the early hours. Clearer skies towards the far southwest and here we
00:22could see some mist and fog patches across Devon and Cornwall. Otherwise we
00:26see the return of this low cloud from the North Sea and it's going to be thick
00:31enough in places for a few spots of rain and drizzle as we start Monday morning.
00:36Otherwise for temperatures it will turn chilly in the west underneath the
00:40clearest skies but otherwise lows generally around 6 to 10 degrees. So a bit of a
00:46messy picture out there as we start Monday morning. Any mist or fog across Devon and
00:50Cornwall soon lift and clear. There'll be some showers across Wales, they'll ease
00:55for a time but cloudier skies across northern parts of England into southern
01:01Scotland and Northern Ireland as we go later in the day. The cloud will gradually
01:05lift and break but that will allow some showers to develop as well. So we could
01:10see some isolated showers just breaking out and they could be on the heavy side
01:14perhaps even with the odd rumble of thunder. Elsewhere generally holding on it
01:19to plenty of sunny spells especially now across the southeast and that's where
01:24we'll see our highest temperatures on Monday 21 possibly up to 22 degrees. But
01:31out towards the west across Northern Ireland, parts of Wales and Northern
01:35England actually temperatures a touchdown on what we saw over the weekend. Now as we
01:41go through Monday evening we'll see a continuation of these showers again still on
01:45the heavy side and there may be a few that still linger otherwise we'll see the
01:50return of this low cloud with that north easterly wind out towards the far west.
01:55That's where we hold on to the clearest skies as we start Tuesday morning. But
02:00otherwise similar temperatures to previous nights but still chilly underneath the
02:05lengthiest clear skies. So as we start Tuesday morning plenty of bright skies out
02:10towards the west this low cloud will once again lift break and retreat back to
02:15eastern coasts. But once the sun gets going we'll also see some showers bubbling
02:20up across Northern Ireland, parts of Wales, Northwest England, perhaps even towards the
02:25far southwest and these could again be heavy perhaps with the odd rumble of
02:30thunder. Best of the sunshine now across parts of Scotland and still towards the far
02:35south and east. Highs though up to 21 possibly 22 so feeling warm in that
02:41sunshine still but always a little bit cooler down that eastern coast where you
02:46have that onshore flow. So as we look further afield then actually we've got
02:51further heavy showers developing on Wednesday mainly towards the south at the
02:56moment. Dry up a little bit cooler on Thursday and then it looks a bit more
03:01changeable as we go into next weekend. But for more details on all of that be sure to
03:07hit subscribe so you don't miss any updates and I'll see you soon. Bye bye.
