With the sun now shining across Greater Manchester, festival season is officially here, with that in mind, we asked people on the streets of Manchester to tell us what appealed to them about festivals and what may put them off.

00:00Hello and welcome to a lovely day here in Manchester and with this sunny weather usually
00:04comes festival season and this year is no exception. There's a bunch of great exciting
00:09festivals right on the horizon around this area too, so we want to know which ones people
00:13have booked on to, why they're looking forward to it and if they're not fancying the festivals
00:17this year, why not and what's putting them off. So I saw a race at Glastonbury in 94
00:22and they were like six or seven acts down the bill at that point, so these Manchester
00:27Scalo Zoo we thought might be quite big, that was good enough but since then, you know,
00:34I like to be near a toilet. Some festivals are alright, some are nice and independent but
00:39some of them you herded around like cattle. I find corrals quite overwhelming, I find
00:43like live music quite overwhelming as well so I tend to avoid stitches like that.
00:46Once I made a Manchester Hospital with a few friends, that was really good, there was a few
00:50like trip route apps running off like a waste and things like that and some of them aren't
00:53exactly where I'm Manchester based on like stone roses and things and that was my first
00:58possible, I went and said I enjoyed it.
