New data suggests fewer people are going to festivals, with some cancelled this year. Would you ever consider going to a festival, or is it just too expensive? Do you think the cost is putting people off?

00:00A lot of people now, especially in England, are going abroad for festivals because it is actually much cheaper.
00:08It costs nearly probably 300 quid for a Glastonbury ticket and I think it's disgraceful for especially the cost of living crisis here.
00:16It's a combination of like travel expenses and kind of like planning.
00:21I think obviously the cost of living has gone up quite recently so it's fairly difficult for people to kind of balance like cost of living
00:29and then like festivals and other sort of luxury things.
00:32If you go to a UK festival, no, you're not guaranteed the weather but if you go abroad and probably spend the same amount of money anyway,
00:37flights are quite cheap now as I know if you do it right.
00:39Yeah, the cost is pretty high but like I feel like it's part of my life so yeah so it kind of puts me out.
00:47And also my friends, they also think it's expensive but I'm still paying for them.
00:53They go there because they say, oh I've been to Glastonbury, not for the music, not for anything else.
00:57They just go like, oh I've been to Glastonbury.
00:59Yeah.
