People on the street: Easter traditions

We went out onto the streets of Manchester to ask people how they celebrate Easter.

00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. Today we're out on the streets of Manchester asking people about Easter.

00:05It's just around the corner now and basically we want to know how people celebrate it.

00:09Whether there's certain traditions, certain chocolate easter eggs that they're after.

00:13We basically want to know what makes the day special for people.

00:17Easter's probably one of my least celebrated holidays.

00:20It was really good as a kid, you know mostly for the easter eggs and things like that.

00:23I think Easter now is a bit of an afterthought.

00:25Pray to the Lord, attend church of course, and then buy lots of chocolate and go to sleep.

00:37Yeah, pretty much about the only Easter tradition is the IKEA build your own bunny.

00:43Yeah.

00:44Really tasty.

00:45Easter eggs, I don't think you can get too old for Easter eggs. I think they're great, yeah.

00:48Just chocolate.

00:49Someone said Easter eggs are childish to me now, I'm like that's nonsense.

00:52It's just chocolate.

00:54Chocolate in an egg shape, yeah.

00:55Never gets old.

00:56Right, yeah, cream eggs, mini eggs.

00:57I'm not a big fan of whole mini eggs, you can get them all year round now.
