00:00All right, Diamondbacks end up beating the Giants.

00:02Giants have slipped back a little bit in the NL West.

00:04Corbin Carroll hit a couple of home runs.

00:06He's had a great third season, a great rookie season, sophomore slump.

00:10He's back once again.

00:11Diamondbacks are playing good baseball, but, you know,

00:14sort of hard to call at this point with that NL West.

00:17It's arguably the best division in baseball, Matt, to this point.

00:20Look, I definitely think at the end of the season,

00:23Arizona's going to be right there.

00:24I know they're only 22 and 20 right now.

00:26I'm still a little shaky on the Giants.

00:28I know they're off to this really good start, being six games over 500.

00:31If you look over on FanDuel, the Diamondbacks actually have shorter odds

00:34to win the division than the Giants.

00:37But do you see three teams maybe coming out of this and making the postseason?

00:40I can't see four.

00:41That seems like a lot.

00:43Yeah, four is a bit much for sure, but they have four teams that are capable of it.

00:48So it's probably just going to come down to injuries.

00:50Maybe who makes that extra move can stay healthy because I think all of us

00:53feel really good about those top two teams in the division right now making it.

00:56So, yeah, these two teams playing each other, they're very similar,

01:00but in opposite ways.

01:01Like one's got good pitching, hitting's not that great.

01:04One's got good hitting, pitching hasn't been that great, you know,

01:08which is kind of reflected in the run differential where the Giants have that

01:12plus 34, but that's mostly because they've been holding teams down,

01:15whereas the Diamondbacks just, you know, are playing about even.

01:18But I think that overall they have more talent,

01:21and if they can just sort of stabilize things a little bit on the mound,

01:25they're going to be really tough.

01:26And I think you talked about the odds.

01:28You know, I would agree with those odds.

01:29I think they are the better team.

01:30But, you know, the Giants are really good at home,

01:33and they have really good pitching.

01:34And those are usually, you know,

01:35those are two ingredients for success deeper in the season.

01:39And that's the kind of team that can maybe surprise too in the postseason

01:42if they get there.

01:43So it's a fun race, really good teams almost every night.

01:47You get a good matchup from these teams, and, you know, you never know.

01:51And even when you throw in the Rockies,

01:52you never know what you're going to see.

01:54You might see something you've never seen before.

01:55So it's to me the best division of baseball.
