00:00Here are some of these standings.
00:01You talked about the West in the National League.
00:04I thought I would highlight that first for you here.
00:06The Dodgers now are in first place, but only by a half game as the Giants.
00:12And if the Giants win today, which they're up 7-2 after a three-run homer by Dominic Smith,
00:18they would have the same record as the Dodgers.
00:21Can you believe that?
00:2369 games.
00:24They'd have the same exact record here in the middle of June, which if you told people,
00:29remember how big a favorite the Dodgers are, Scottie?
00:31They're supposed to win the West by 15, 20 games.
00:34And they'll be even.
00:35And the Padres are only one back in the loss with 29 losses right there with them.
00:40Very competitive in the West.
00:42And we talked about it yesterday, how Robbie Ray is the most unbelievable record in ERA in the National League.
00:49And he's not even mentioned in the top five guys for the Cy Young.
00:53Meanwhile, he has a better record in ERA than all of them.
00:55The only one that has a better ERA than him, I guess, is Skeens.
01:00But he's got a terrible one-loss record.
01:03And you know what they also, I don't know if you have this story in there, if you do or don't.
01:07It's the one about Helen Keller.
01:10Your boy, did you know that the two of them have, they're like rated, they have the best two quality start pitchers in baseball.
01:19They said that Keller is tied with Skeens for these two together, the best starts, quality starts in baseball.
01:27Meanwhile, what is Keller?
01:29One in seven?
01:30One in eight?
01:31How is that possible that he has the best quality starts?
01:36That guy is ass mustered.
01:38He's bad luck.
01:39He's black cloud diner to me.
01:41I don't see where that even makes sense.
01:44How could it be that he's got quality starts when he loses every time he pitches?
01:48Well, the particulars now for qualities, I believe six innings and three or less runs is now considered a quality start.
02:01If you go six innings with three or less runs.
02:03So that is true.
02:04Skeens has 11 and Keller's tied for second with 10, as you mentioned.
02:08So Keller has 10 quality starts this year, however you would like to.
02:14But they have a combined record of 5 and 15.
02:16Yeah, keep telling yourself that.
02:18Mitch Keller.
02:19Yeah.
02:20Quality starts.
02:21That's how it goes.
02:23I did find a way to get the Pirates on the wildcard board, though.
02:27They're on there somewhere.
02:29I know.
02:29There they are.
02:29I got them.
02:30I said, go to the Pirates.
02:31They're 11 back in the NL wildcard race.
02:35So they're still on our board.
02:37Oh, yeah.
02:37How about how far?
02:38Look at the Braves.
02:39Still buried there.
02:40Nine games out of the NL wildcard.
02:43Are the Giants, the Phillies, and the Padres would be the three NL wildcard teams if the
02:48season ended today?
02:51Well, that means great playoff baseball, if you ask me.
02:56Yeah.
02:56We get those three teams involved.
02:58It certainly does.
02:59As far as the American League side, Toronto and Tampa, of course, have been playing better.
03:06And that means Toronto and Tampa are in the one and two slots in the AL wildcard with Minnesota
03:11in the third.
03:12Cleveland, Kansas City, Seattle, LA.
03:15I mean, it's tight.
03:15Look at that.
03:16All the way down to Texas.
03:17It's like three, three and a half games.
03:20Lots of teams involved in the AL.
03:21How many back is Baltimore?
03:23Does that say five?
03:25I've got eight.
03:27I've got them at eight games back of the wildcard right now.
03:32Eight.
03:32Well, I'll tell you what.
03:33The fact that they're eight games out with as bad as they've stunk, you've got to be kidding me.
03:39Like, I'm not kidding you.
03:40That guy that you played that clip, I've never heard of it.
03:43Oh, Westberg.
03:45Well, yeah.
03:46That guy might as well be in the U.S. Open as an amateur.
03:49I don't have any clue who that is.
03:51He's one of their, they have a lot of these young bats.
03:55Obviously, we know Jackson Holiday.
03:57You know, they have a couple of other young bats that, you know, he came up a year or two ago.
04:02He's been hurt a lot, Westberg.
04:04But when Westberg's been in there, he's been all right.
04:06You know, he's not been Gunnar Henderson, but he's been decent.
04:10He might as well be Blitzberg.
04:12I don't know who that is.
04:13So, if I don't know who you are, you don't matter.
04:17I know everyone.
04:17You don't matter.
