00:00Well, we heard from Ben this morning about his date with Kate.

00:03It is the second date update, commercial-free New Country 99.5 QIK.

00:06They were set up by some friends, had a good date out in Tarpon Springs.

00:11But that's where things stand now, is he has no idea what's going on, but he felt like the date went well.

00:16They had good conversation. He said he paid for the meal.

00:19He did not drink too much. I asked him about that.

00:21And if he ran into anybody at the restaurant, and he said no.

00:25So, Kevin, you got her on the phone, right?

00:27I do. Perfect. And she's cool talking to us on the air?

00:29Yes.

00:29All right, I'm going to bring her on right now.

00:31Good morning, Kate. How are you doing?

00:33Good morning. I'm all right. How are you?

00:35We are doing good.

00:36And you just heard us talking about the fact that we heard about your date with Ben.

00:42And we just want to know what's going on.

00:44Because this guy's India, wants to see you again, and you haven't been really willing to go back out with him.

00:49What's up with that?

00:52Well, Ben pulled up for our date on a motorcycle.

00:57And I thought that was cool.

00:59You know, I didn't know he had a motorcycle.

01:00We never really talked about cars and what we drove or anything like that when we were getting to know each other.

01:07But as the date progressed, I found out that he only has the motorcycle.

01:12That's his only form of transportation.

01:14And that is not something, like, when you're dating, you kind of know what you want and what you don't want.

01:21And I want a guy with a car.

01:25Not that having a motorcycle is terrible, but having only a motorcycle is just not something that I want in a boyfriend.

01:32Like, I don't want to be picked up on a motorcycle for a nice dinner out.

01:37I don't want to ride a motorcycle in the rain or to the grocery store or, God forbid, to Costco.

01:43You know?

01:44I don't think you can take a motorcycle into Costco.

01:46I mean, there's too much stuff to buy there.

01:48It's too big.

01:48Yeah.

01:49Exactly.

01:50How are you going to fit the toilet paper on the back of a motorcycle and your girlfriend?

01:54Yeah.

01:54Right?

01:55So, basically, like, he was a nice guy and everything.

01:58But, you know, we started talking about the motorcycle.

02:01And I was like, why don't you have a car?

02:04And he did say, like, I don't have a car payment, insurance, blah, blah, blah.

02:09It's probably a lot cheaper.

02:10I mean, totally.

02:11I get that.

02:12But, you know, we live in a state where it rains nearly every day or, like, has the potential to rain all the time.

02:19Yeah, in the summer, sir.

02:20In the summer.

02:21And, you know, have you ever been on 275?

02:25Like, the drivers there are ridiculous.

02:29Yeah.

02:30I know for some people it's fine, but I don't want to ride a motorcycle.

02:34I'm afraid of being on one.

02:36I just don't want to touch that whole ordeal.

02:38I have a friend who died in a crash when I was young.

02:41It's just a lot.

02:42I don't want to be involved with someone with a motorcycle.

02:44All right.

02:44Well, I can totally get that.

02:46I mean, you're either going to be cool with it or you're not going to be cool with it.

02:48I mean, it's that easy.

02:49Well, listen, here's the deal.

02:51Ben actually reached out to us.

02:52He said he had a great date with you.

02:55And we were just trying to see if we could set you guys up on another date.

03:04Ben, so you only have a motorcycle, huh?

03:07Yeah, it's so much cheaper.

03:08I mean, it's awesome.

03:08Having a bike is awesome.

03:09And I never have any kind of problem just having a bike.

03:13Well, I mean, yeah, she kind of explained to us the you don't have a car at all or you

03:17don't plan on getting one.

03:18Is that the case?

03:20Not I don't currently plan on.

03:21I don't need one.

03:22And it's so much, you know, I got no the bikes paid off.

03:25The insurance is much less.

03:28You know, I can just park the bike right on my patio.

03:32The gas mileage is amazing.

03:33I don't really need a car.

03:35I don't travel that far.

03:37I have no problems with it.

03:39And everybody who I take on the bike loves it.

03:41So I don't know.

03:43I mean, I'm just picturing spending hours getting ready for a date to get on a bike but have

03:48to wear pants to not burn my ankles and like the windblown hair and the helmet hair and

03:56just it's just it's too much.

03:59Well, you know, we have when I need, you know, if I'm taking you on a nice date, I'm going

04:05to get an Uber, of course.

04:06I mean, I'm not going to make you do anything you're uncomfortable with.

04:08I take Ubers when I need to, but it's not that often, but oh, absolutely.

04:12I wouldn't make you.

04:13Yeah, but like part of getting to know somebody, like we can't even have a conversation on a

04:18motorcycle.

04:19That just seems ridiculous.

04:20Like you're going to pay every time for an Uber when you could just have a car.

04:24I don't know.

04:25I mean, I have a car.

04:27It's just not a great car.

04:29It's not in good condition.

04:30I don't want to be the one driving if I don't want to ride the motorcycle.

04:33So that's just not something that any female that I can think of would want for themselves.

04:40That's a bummer.

04:41Well, I know.

04:42And you were great.

04:43I mean, the date was fun.

04:45But yeah, this is just not something I want to waste both of our time with if I'm not going

04:50to be happy going into it.

04:52Well, I really love my bike, but I guess if I get a car, maybe I'll give you a call.

04:57I mean, is this going to be a car idea?

05:01I could hook you up with some great car dealers.

05:52So there's people that are that are dig that lifestyle.

05:54And it's like, yes, I ride a bike and that's all I ride.

05:57But if you're not cool with it, you're going to be an issue.

06:01I mean, I get where he's coming from.

06:02I mean, you don't have to.

06:04You know, the insurance is less.

06:05The payment and all that other stuff, you know, so gas, probably a little better on

06:09gas and all that stuff with everything so expensive.

06:11I can understand that.

06:12But that's a lot to ask a girl.

06:15I mean, I'm out.

06:17Saddle up, partner, you know, to go out on a date.

06:21Yeah.

06:21So and then, you know, having to call an Uber for a date, you know, hey, we're getting

06:25an Uber tonight, which is not necessarily the worst thing, especially if you're going

06:28to have a couple of cocktails or something like that.

06:30It's not the worst thing to do.

06:31True.

06:31But if they just want to have a night out, you guys drive and she doesn't want to take

06:36her car and all you got is a motorcycle.

06:38But I mean, you know, you're just like going shopping or grocery shopping or picket.

06:42What if you have, you know, takeout food?

06:43It's it's going to be hard to figure it out this far.

06:46I guess so.

06:46So I don't know.

06:47I don't think going on another date would hurt them by any means.

06:50But, you know, if she's just kind of nipping this in the bud before it even starts, I

06:54guess, is her.

06:55It sounded like they liked each other, though.

06:57They kept saying they were great.

06:58That's what my whole thing was.
