00:00Now back to Amy and Sean.
00:021027 VGS.
00:05That looks so cool.
00:07It's amazing.
00:08All right, we gotta tell you what we're talking about
00:09because I saw this actually when we were in Chicago.
00:12I looked down and the New York Times
00:14is talking about this new sculpture
00:15that's outside of Las Vegas.
00:17I'm like, there's a what?
00:19Right, right.
00:20Now, Seven Magic Mountains,
00:22it's no small feat.
00:24I mean, these are very heavy boulders.
00:25Just kind of popped out of nowhere almost.
00:28This has been happening over the past 50 years.
00:33Yeah.
00:33About 100 and some odd miles north of the Las Vegas Valley.
00:37It's called the City Sculpture.
00:39And after 50 years,
00:41this artist, Michael Heiser,
00:43is going to release the City Sculpture on the world.
00:48Try to explain what you're seeing right now.
00:50It looks almost like sand dunes,
00:54but then also like pyramid-type things popped up.
00:58I don't know.
00:58Yeah.
00:59It looks like an alien sort of life form.
01:01Yeah, yeah, for sure.
01:02It's unbelievable.
01:03We're talking about the things in Las Vegas
01:05in the greater Southern Nevada area
01:07that you just love, like getting outdoors to see.
01:10That's like so unique to Vegas.
01:13702-597-1027.
01:15So this guy's been working on this now for a long time.
01:18$40 million over 50 years to build this.
01:23It is a mile and a half long.
01:25It's in the middle of nowhere.
01:27It's so crazy.
01:28It's directly north of us.
01:30And for what, right?
01:31Like what?
01:32He's an artist.
01:33Yeah.
01:33But he, like, I didn't,
01:35I have lived here for 16 years, 17 years.
01:38I did not know this was happening.
01:40Yeah, same.
01:41Unreal.
01:41I had no idea.
01:42But that, it's so, so cool.
01:43And, you know, when we were walking to the,
01:47or from the Navy Pier in Chicago,
01:50we were talking about how you don't,
01:54like we were like appreciating the bridges
01:56and the, you know, all this stuff.
01:58And it's like,
01:58why don't you appreciate the things where you live?
02:00Yeah.
02:00And I really do try to.
02:02Like we go up to Mount Charleston.
02:04Love.
02:05We go to Red Rock.
02:05Love.
02:06And it's just,
02:08you always try to just remember like,
02:10wow, it's pretty cool to live here.
02:11It's so cool.
02:12I mean, you can get everything you could ever desire.
02:14You want hiking.
02:15You want snow.
02:16You want to see hieroglyphs.
02:18You want to go on the water,
02:19at least for now.
02:20You know, there's, there's,
02:21there's something for everybody,
02:22but this is absolutely outstanding.
02:23That's so cool.
02:24This artist is now 77 years old.
02:27His health is flat, not doing really well.
02:30And he says,
02:31this is a masterpiece or close to it.
02:32And I'm,
02:33I'm the only one who cares
02:34whether or not this thing is actually done.
02:37This is going to end up being like an Instagram,
02:40like it's going to be bananas.
02:41Yeah.
02:42And it's almost,
02:45it can't be like,
02:46it's like,
02:47I won't say it can't be defaced,
02:48but like,
02:48it's so big.
02:50Right.
02:50And massive.
02:51It's phenomenal.
02:52You can't deface this thing.
02:54Like you can't knock it down.
02:55That's crazy.
02:56It's unbelievable.
02:57And I mean,
02:58like,
02:59like he said right there,
03:00I'm the only one that cares if it's done or not,
03:02because nobody had any idea.
03:03No one had a clue.
03:04Your marketing team stinks.
03:06But now it's going all right.
03:09I'm a fool alone,
03:10helplessly watching as they wait for me to die.
03:12So they can turn my ranch into a gift shop.
03:15Oh my God.
03:15And motel.
03:16This guy is such a downer.
03:18But then when you see what he created,
03:19it's unbelievable.
03:22The population of this area that he built it is 5,100.
03:26Wow.
03:26And it's,
03:27it's literally,
03:28you're going to need an all wheel drive vehicle to get to it.
03:30Right.
03:31It's bananas.
03:32That,
03:33so a three hour drive from North Las Vegas.
03:36And Garden Valley,
03:37which is another place I did not know existed.
03:39Same.
03:39Yeah,
03:39yeah,
03:39there we go.
03:40So when is it going to be done?
03:41It's like,
03:42I think next month,
03:44you're going to be able to go to this thing.
03:45There's just,
03:46you know,
03:47there's certain things like,
03:48when was the last time you were at Springs Preserve?
03:50Hmm.
03:51Have you ever been to Springs Preserve?
03:52Yeah.
03:53But I mean,
03:53probably 10 years.
03:55Love Springs Preserve.
03:56Going for that hike a little through,
03:58it's just the path that they have.
03:59It's amazing.
04:00Yeah.
04:01Red Rock Canyon,
04:02like people that want to go to Grand Canyon,
04:04but they're only here for three days.
04:06Right.
04:06I'm like,
04:06save your time.
04:07Yeah,
04:08go to Red Rock.
04:08It's a hole in the ground.
04:09Go to Red Rock.
04:10It's like,
04:10well,
04:10I've never been west of Cleveland.
04:12Yeah.
04:13They go and they're just,
04:14their mind explodes.
04:16Yeah.
04:16It's so awesome.
04:17Do you ever hike?
04:18Are you a hiker?
04:19I mean,
04:19we do.
04:20We go every once in a while.
04:22I guess we go in spurts.
04:24Like sometimes we'll hike like every weekend in the spring or fall or whatever.
04:28And then we won't go for a year and a half.
04:30Spring Mountain Ranch Park.
04:32Have you been there?
04:33I don't think so.
04:33Okay.
04:34Okay.
04:34Spring Mountain Ranch Park's another one.
04:36It's right near Red Rock Canyon.
04:38And they have this,
04:39this path that like,
04:40you know,
04:41it's obviously desert terrain,
04:42but then all of a sudden you go in and it's like these plants out of nowhere.
04:47It does not look like you're,
04:49you're in another galaxy.
04:51It looks like you're in the plant section at a Home Depot.
04:53Yeah.
04:53Yeah.
04:53Yeah.
04:53Yeah.
04:53Like how did,
04:54how,
04:55how,
04:55how did this happen?
04:56It's just does not belong,
04:58but yet it belongs.
04:59It's amazing.
05:00That's so cool.
05:01Yeah.
05:01I love that.
05:01I mean,
05:02you know,
05:02we like to do,
05:03um,
05:04Lone Mountain.
05:05That's such a good hike.
05:07Nevermind.
05:07Just,
05:08I mean,
05:08and I think it's called Lone Mountain because it's really just by itself.
05:11You're in the Northwest.
05:12I've passed it.
05:13Yeah.
05:13I've never gotten out to climb it.
05:14Yeah.
05:14I was like,
05:14wow,
05:15that looks climbable,
05:16but I never do it.
05:17We have our own mountain and mountain's edge.
05:18I've been at it twice and I get really tired.
05:20It hurts my feet.
05:21I'm not a big fan.
05:22I can just drive past it.
05:23Oh,
05:23there it is.
