00:05offensive slump continues as the yanks were shut out by the tampa bay rays last night four to

00:11nothing garrett cole pitched well for the yankees throwing six innings giving up just the one to

00:17run which really only happened in the first inning because aaron hicks who had a miserable game

00:23misplayed a routine fly ball that they gave the stat probability 95 percent probability that the

00:31center fielder makes this catch and he missed it he just literally turned three or four different ways

00:37on a routine fly ball that he simply had to drift eight feet to the right it was a horrible play

00:43that was the run run then the yankee lineup couldn't score then the bullpen didn't pitch well they let

00:49up runs late in the game and that's how it got to four to nothing and they are absolutely struggling

00:55offensively right now it's a big problem they can't score runs gotta score runs and you gotta keep it

01:00going would have been nice to have it's not like uh none of us yankee fans wanted juan castro at the

01:06trade deadline it's not like any yankee fans wanted some hitters um i recall actually one yankee fan

01:13now speaking into uh this very microphone that i'm tapping desperate for juan soto and some hitters

01:19well you know i mean how can you be desperate for for runs when you've had that that that run so far

01:28of all those wins because we hadn't had a record in all of baseball we hadn't had it that since the

01:34second half the bottom line is by the trade deadline the uh the the wheels had fallen off offensively it

01:41was very easy to see and that's why people were saying here's the stats no this isn't new the

01:48yankees are 20 and 26 in their last 46 games there's six games under 500 in their last 46 games so

01:59this is a long stretch of bad baseball which is why we were asking for offense well i'll tell you what

02:06i said it i said it all well not all season but a couple of weeks ago as uh before i went on

02:11vacation i said listen nothing counts unless you make this deep into the postseason they need to win

02:17otherwise cashman needs to go he's he's my next target no no no no you said that in the offseason

02:23i gave him his grace period he was a hero uh when they were kicking ass but heroes go so far

02:32you become a hero when you put the team up for for as in a successful position but once other teams

02:39catch up to you then you have to continue to be the hero by stepping up even more the houston astros

02:46the dodgers and the mets all made vast ground on the yankees and the yankees just sat there and just

02:51twiddling their thumbs now the yankees have been straight up passed by those three teams and they're

02:57sitting in mud right now and every all the yankee fans could see this and we're begging cashman to

03:02get some somebody at the at the plate but he got us nothing ah the mets meanwhile were crushed by the

03:08braves 13 to 1 the mets carlos carrasco receives the loss the mets still obviously though in good

03:16shape at 75 and 41 the phillies beat the reds 4 to 3 ex-met now philly noah sindegaard picked up the

03:25win throwing seven innings striking out seven giving up three runs with the victory the phillies

03:29are back in the second national league wild card spot a half game over the padres who are in the

03:36third spot football looks like the giants head coach brian dable may make giants safety xavier mckinney

03:44the defensive play caller this is interesting because he is a safety like i said traditionally

03:51this responsibility goes to the linebacker but it's a good sign for mckinney that dable is going

03:57with him for this role it makes him sort of the defensive captain basketball word on the street

04:03is that kevin durant is currently in a stalemate with brooklyn nets management durant wants to be

04:09traded if the brooklyn front office doesn't fire the head coach and general manager meanwhile the coach

04:17gm are getting backed by the nets brass so we have a weird situation where the superstar is not happy

04:23and we don't know who's going to win this one see if he can pull the strings like lebron yeah he wants

04:29he wants these guys out of here although i don't blame them i blame i sort of blame kyrie and harden

04:34and you know other other people uh and finally golf tiger woods is actually going to meet with several

04:40of the top golfers in the world today in an effort to rally support around the pga tour

04:47in its ongoing battle with the rival live golf series out of saudi arabia we were seeing uh they uh i don't

04:57know if you're on vacation but they released uh some of the people who have turned down the saudi arabia

05:03golf uh tour and some of the prices that they were going to get i mean they were going to give

05:09legend jack nicholas just to be a part of it i'm sure as a spokesman because the guy's like gotta

05:13be 75 by now they were going to give him something crazy like 300 million dollars tiger was going to

05:21get close to a billion dollars a lot of oil money going on over there he turned down so it's bizarre

05:27late in in in life tiger's having a baby face turn where he was a heel from years and phil mickelson's

05:35doing a heel turn because he took the money right and everyone hates him and he was the baby

05:40he was the good guy so we have a double turn late in the golf's uh in in terms of golf but yeah tiger

05:48is out there saying don't join this tour pga doesn't pay at certainly as much most golfers get

05:55their ends through sponsorships right well yeah and winning winning tournaments you know you get you

06:00get nice paychecks when you win the tournament but nothing like 300 million well this is guaranteed

06:05money this is hey come join our tour we'll give you 300 million dollars you don't have to win

06:11anything so it's uh it's pretty interesting to see what's going to happen here save the pga there's
