00:00What do we got?
00:01Okay, we're going to start with baseball where the Yankees beat the Cleveland Guardians last night in a do-or-die game five.
00:07Final score, Yankees five, Guardians one, as it was a fantastic game for the Bronx Bombers.
00:14Yankee all-star pitcher Nestor Cortez was great, throwing five innings, giving up just the one run, which came on a blue pit, by the way.
00:21Nestor picked up the win, Giancarlo Sten and Aaron Judge each homered in the game for the Yankees, who will now advance to the American League Championship Series to take on the Houston Astros.
00:34Wow, I mean, listen, all season we've been saying it all comes down to going through Houston somehow.
00:41Oh, we knew this was inevitable, but here we go.
00:43But really, I mean, it's crazy because the turnaround is so quick as game one of the American League Championship Series is tonight between the Yankees and Astros at 737.
00:59Jamison Tyone scheduled to start for the Yanks and future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander on the mound for the Astros.
01:08Obviously a tough matchup, but let's go, Yankees.
01:10And listen, it was a fantastic win.
01:13And I really think that if you can win against Cleveland in the fashion that they did, you know, blowing a game three, really blowing games two and three,
01:23and then being down 2-1 in a hostile environment with the Cleveland fans all over your back.
01:29And you were down and, you know, all the chips were, you had to push them in on game four.
01:36Yeah.
01:37And the Yankees came back and won that one in dramatic fashion.
01:40And I think that that may have just propelled them to go to the World Series.
01:44They have to see this as...
01:45Oh, yeah, they're pros.
01:46They have...
01:47Absolute pros.
01:48No question about it.
01:48They have to see this as a positive.
01:49They're going to let the crowd get them down, do you?
01:52No.
01:53No.
01:53No, no, no.
01:54What I'm saying is they have to let the victory of the Cleveland Guardians series propel them into winning it all.
02:03Well, let's hope they can do something against Justin Verlander tonight.
02:07And it is a fast turnaround, though.
02:10Man, no rest for the wicked.
02:11But after that series, you know, I mean, that's the thing is that this team has been challenged before in this era.
02:20And they've come up short pretty much the last three years, at least.
02:24Every time that this team runs into hard times, like a series against where they're down against the Cleveland Guardians 2-1.
02:31Like, those series the Yankees have folded, and for them to get a series victory like that is pretty awesome.
02:36Okay.
02:37Game one of the NLCS happened last night.
02:41The Phillies defeated the Padres 2-0 to go up a game...
02:45To go up one game to none in that series.
02:47Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber, each homered for the Phillies.
02:50Zach Wheeler, received the win.
02:52And, by the way, came to between the Phillies and Padres today at 435.
02:57Basketball.
02:58The NBA returned last night with a couple of games.
03:00First, the Sixers lost to the Celtics, 126-117.
03:05And Jason Tatum had 35 points, 12 rebounds in the Boston victory.
03:09Then, Steph Curry and the Warriors took down LeBron James and the Lakers, 123-109.
03:16Steph had a great game, as always, 33 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists.
03:20Now, tonight, the Nets take on the Pelicans in Brooklyn.
03:24And the Knicks go against the Grizzlies in Memphis.
03:28Hockey, the Devils beat the Ducks last night, 4-2.
03:31Nico Hashir had a goal and an assist in the Devil victory.
03:36The Flyers took down the Lightning, 3-2.
03:39Football.
03:40The NFL announced that starting next year, there will be an NFL game on Black Friday on Amazon Prime.
03:46Oh, that's interesting.
03:47That's in addition to the games on Thanksgiving Day, which air on CBS and Fox.
03:53Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime is averaging about 10.8 million viewers a week,
03:58which is considered pretty good, even though the games have been doo-doo.
04:03Yeah, last couple have been awful.
04:04That is your quick look at sports.
04:06It's the Rad Race.
04:07I'll see you next week.
