00:00Well, baseball. I am happy this morning for one reason.
00:04The Yankees looked like they were going to choke several times last night,
00:07but instead had a fantastic comeback where they beat the Rays in extra innings 8-7,
00:13sparing me from a heart attack in the process.
00:16And murder charges because I think you're about ready to go murder Cashman, the GM.
00:21Yes, all of this is true.
00:23I was looking up Brian Cashman's address in Greenwich, Connecticut,
00:26trying to find out where he lives, what pizzerias he visits.
00:30The Yankees trailed the Rays in the 8th inning when Anthony Rizzo tied the game up with a big home run.
00:36That was dramatic, but then the game went to the top of the 10th,
00:39and the Rays scored three runs off of Verales Chapman to take a 7-4 lead.
00:44That looked like the end of the game there, but then in the bottom of the 10th,
00:48the Yankees put together a rally, a Gleyber Torres single, a Rizzo walk.
00:52The guy on second, up came Josh Donaldson, and he hits a walk-off game-winning Grand Slam
00:59that gave the Yanks an 8-7 victory.
01:02Only the second time, or sorry, the third time that someone's hit a Grand Slam to win the game by just one run.
01:10In other words, the Yankees were down by three runs.
01:12Got it.
01:13And the other two were Babe Ruth and Jason Giambi.
01:17So pretty interesting company there.
01:20But Donaldson came through with a big hit.
01:23Short porch was a factor, and we love that.
01:25Gleyber Torres also homered for the Yanks in the game.
01:28They improved to 73-45, got a big victory over the Rays,
01:32and now they have a big series against the Toronto Blue Jays.
01:35Surely they do.
01:36Right now, both the Rays and the Blue Jays would be in the postseason.
01:42If it ended today, both teams would get two of the three American League wildcards.
01:46All right, well, all right.
01:48So these are big series.
01:50You've saved David's blood pressure.
01:53I needed that.
01:54And you saved us all a rant.
01:55I needed that.
01:56And it was an hour and a half rained away.
01:58And instead of going to bed, I said, I'm just going to decide to be miserable.

02:04And watch this.
02:05Meanwhile, the Mets took down the Braves 9-7.
02:08The Mets' Max Scherzer looked human, giving up five earned runs in five innings,
02:13but he still picks up the win.
02:14New Met Robbie Grossman slugged a home run in the game.
02:18The Mets are now 76-42 and are four and a half games in front of the Braves
02:23for first in the NL East.
02:26The Mets were shut out by the Reds, one to nothing.
02:28I mean, the Phillies, excuse me, were shut out by the Reds, one to nothing.
02:31The Phillies still in the second National League wildcard spot.
02:36Basketball LeBron James signed a two-year, $97 million extension with the Lakers.
02:42That is some serious money right there.
02:45LeBron's 37.
02:46This will keep him in L.A. until 2024.
02:50But, man, that's nice.
02:51You're nearly making $50 million a year.
02:55Jeez.
02:56Good job there.
02:57Football, former Jets great Joe Klecko was selected as one of three senior finalists
03:04for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
03:06If he receives 80% of the votes from the full committee in January,
03:10he'll make the Hall of Fame.
03:11Wow.
03:11That's considered something that will happen.
03:14So, congratulations.
03:16It's a little preliminary, but we feel good about Joe Klecko going to the Hall of Fame.
03:21And finally, Boxing Mike Tyson says he takes psychedelic mushrooms every day.

03:29I like taking mushrooms and smoking even before fighting.

03:35He says, quote, I take psychedelics every day.
03:40Mushrooms?
03:41What's his dose?
03:43Right?
03:43He doesn't say the dose.

03:45Because there is a trend now from low-dose psychedelics.
03:48Well, maybe that's what he's doing.
03:49Every day seems a little much.

03:53But I'm not going to tell him.
03:54Why don't you go tell him, okay?
03:56I am saying nothing.
03:57The last thing I want to do is walk up to Mike Tyson and tell him he's doing something wrong,
04:01especially if he's tripping on shrooms.
04:03Well, he specifically says the shrooms help him mellow out, be less aggressive, and live
04:10in peace.
04:10So, yeah, I'm not going to be telling Mike to stop.
04:13In fact, if anything, I'm going to try and get him a whole crate of mushrooms to last
04:18him for the next 30 years, because if it's a kinder, gentler Mike Tyson walking around,
04:23we're all safer.
