00:00Eastside, Dave. Dave, what do we got?

00:02Okay, we're going to start with baseball, where we had more MLB playoff games last night.

00:09The Phillies were shut out by Kyle Wright and the Atlanta Braves, 3-0.

00:14Oh, those stinking Braves.

00:16That series, though, now tied one game apiece.

00:19Game three, Friday in Philadelphia.

00:22The Padres beat the Dodgers 5-3 to even up that series at one game apiece.

00:28Manny Machado and Jake Cronenworth each homered for San Diego.

00:32And game three is Friday, and that is in San Diego as well.

00:38Today, the Mariners take on the Astros in Houston for game two of that series.

00:44Seattle suffered a brutal loss to the Astros,

00:47who came back after being down 7-3 in the eighth inning

00:50to win in the bottom of the ninth, 8-7.

00:54That all happened in game one.

00:56Can they bounce back from that?

00:57I hope so, but boy, oh boy, after that brutal of a loss,

01:02I feel like the Mariners are a lost cause to bump off the Astros.

01:06And then at 7-30, the Yankees match up against the Cleveland Guardians

01:11for game two of their ALDS series.

01:14We just need another win, right?

01:16That's all we need.

01:17One more?

01:17Two more wins.

01:18Three out of five.

01:19And then one more after that.

01:19Yeah, it's a three out of five series.

01:22Now, so two more wins is what we need.

01:24Nasty Nestor Cortez is on the mound for the Yanks.

01:28Nestor had a tremendous season going 12-4 with a 2.44 ERA,

01:34making his first All-Star team.

01:37He's been spectacular, and he finished strong, too, in September,

01:40so that's a good thing.

01:41Who do the Guardians have?

01:43Cleveland will be putting out Shane Bieber.

01:46He's a hard-throwing, good-looking right-hander,

01:49and he also has a lot of talent.

01:51He has shut down the Yankees in the past, but, again, it's the postseason.

01:56He's got to figure out a way to get a few hits here and there and win that game.

02:01You know, I feel like the Yankees.

02:02Foul a bunch off and get into the bullpen.

02:04I feel like the Yankees are the better team.

02:07Hopefully they can go out there and win this.

02:09Nestor Cortez has been brilliant this year.

02:11Basketball, Brooklyn Nets star Ben Simmons looking to finally get back onto the court this year

02:16after missing a year and a half of basketball due to anxiety.

02:21And the All-Star swingman says the key to his happiness right now

02:24is spending very little time on social media.

02:28He says, quote,

02:29Even the other day there was a clip of me airballing a shot at the park.

02:33Like, come on, man, you think I'm just airballing every shot?

02:36It's not true, but you can't take everything personally.

02:39It's social media.

02:40Come on, man.

02:41I mean, that's...

02:42It is...

02:42I get it.

02:43Social media is really...

02:45It sucks.

02:47It absolutely stinks sometimes.

02:49But at the same time...

02:51It was funny.

02:52You have to have a little bit of skin there.

02:53He was at a park in Brooklyn shooting hoops and he airballed it.

02:57And so some guy captured it on camera and now it went viral

03:00because even his, like, you know, just playing at a park, he airballs shots.

03:06Lower the net.

03:08I don't know what happened to this guy.

03:09I mean, you know, hopefully he's able to put everything behind him and have a good season

03:13because the Nets are counting on him to play this year.

03:16Football Raiders wide receiver Devontae Adams was cited for assault after shoving a photographer

03:23after Monday night's loss to the Chief.

03:27Adams has since apologized.

03:29This guy is the Pro Bowl receiver that Aaron Rodgers used to love to throw to.

03:33And maybe Rodgers is struggling a little bit because all the Packers are 4-1.

03:37So we'll see what happens.

03:39And then finally tonight kicks off week 6 of the NFL season

03:43where you've got the Washington Commanders taking on the Chicago Bears.

03:48Got to get my picks in, Dave.

03:49Yes.
