Dave & Chuck the Freak talk about a man who drove his car into the Ohio River after it caught fire and revisit Dave's first drive to university when his car also caught fire.

00:21This dude in Kentucky decided to drive the car right into the river.

00:32Here's the story of this.

00:34This is from Louisville, Kentucky now, from WAVE-TV.

00:38Crews we talked to were surprised the situation ended as well as it did.

00:42Not only did that man survive a burning car,

00:44but he also drifted about a mile and a half down the Ohio River before he was rescued.

00:49Now that man and his car are both safely back on land.

00:54This blew me out of the water, man, okay?

00:57Blown out of the water while the car was pulled from the water.

01:01Darryl Miles was just passing by when he saw the flashing emergency lights near the Cox Park boat ramp,

01:06and he had to stop and watch.

01:08And then I saw everybody standing, and I saw the people down there with the camera.

01:12This can't be good, you know what I'm saying?

01:14He was just one of the people standing around watching the rescue.

01:18The car looked like it had water damage, but just six hours earlier, it was on fire.

01:23Now you know what saved him, right?

01:34Since we've been out here this evening, people have been walking up to us asking the same questions.

01:38We're wondering, why did that man drive into the Ohio River,

01:41and why was the car on fire in the first place?

01:44So far, officials haven't been able to give us those answers, but we'll keep you updated.
