hi in this video we are going to go over the basics of the marketron integration that we

have in place for you within salesforce so just to give you a quick recap or context for how this

works is that whenever you win or closed one an opportunity in salesforce you go into marketron

and create the order using more details from marketron so when you were creating the order

from salesforce we just used high level projection amounts however in marketron you have to enter some

additional details in order to arrive at a more accurate number so once you create that order

from marketron we have a system automatically basically sends any new marketron records into

salesforce that night or the next morning and as soon as it arrives into salesforce it automatically

gets matched with the opportunity that you created in salesforce as well as updating that salesforce

opportunity with the more accurate numbers coming in from marketron so this all happens automatically

in terms of the matching however once you once you create the opportunity in salesforce and take

it to closed one you do as before have to go into marketron and create that order with a little bit

more detail so with that uh let's get started and try to get an idea of how this whole process works

so if you jump into my screen on salesforce we can see uh i've just created this opportunity now and

it's just got into closed one uh i can see uh that if i go into the projections tab i have a couple of

projections associated and again as before uh if i go to the projected revenue i can see a breakdown of

that amount uh with uh the period of months that it's running over as well as a further breakdown

uh of any other member that's associated with me on this opportunity uh just to get a sense for

the revenue breakdown between the opportunity team members as well so all this we've covered before

now if we go back to the details tab we'll we'll you'll notice that there's a section called marketron

in information and within it you'll find a field called synced with marketron now this is important

for you to keep an eye out for because this is sort of what indicates if this proposal or deal has been

synced with the records coming in from marketron now for this one we can see that the checkbox is

not checked meaning that it's not been synced yet and has not been updated to reflect the more accurate

marketron numbers coming in so with that uh let's take a deeper look into how records coming into

salesforce look and what are some of those matching criterias that we use in order to match marketron

records uh to the corresponding opportunities in salesforce so now you'll notice i am on a marketron

record uh marketron record record page so within this uh and this is just to give you an idea under the

hood a very high level idea of how it works so you don't feel like you have to know everything but it

helps to have that knowledge to the back of your mind so now that i'm within a marketron record uh

this is basically what it's going to look like in salesforce when it comes in

now you'll notice it has some of the same information in terms of an advertiser

advertiser marketron id has other information such as agency brand name brand id the market

uh the contract number the inventory type inventory id etc but what really causes uh the matching uh

within salesforce is these three fields that you see here so meaning using the information within the

marketron record salesforce is gonna try and identify a match against a corresponding opportunity

within salesforce a corresponding product within salesforce and a corresponding brand within

salesforce so as soon as we find uh three of those matches and all of these happen automatically again

you'll notice that this record for example has successfully been synced with the salesforce records

so now i'm within the opportunity record uh for the marketron record where i will just demonstrated that

a corresponding opportunity match has been found and the marketron record has been synced with this

opportunity first thing you'll notice within this opportunity is that this time within the marketron

information section the checkbox is in fact checked to indicate that it has been synced with the marketron

record moving further along the tabs if i click into the projections you'll get this notice saying

projections cannot be added because there's marketron records that have already been synced with it so

this projections tab will now be locked as soon as marketron records have been synced if i go to the

projected revenue tab i see the same note saying that since there are associated marketron records we cannot

view projected revenue anymore so what's happening here is that we are basically locking the projections

and the projected revenue since we now have more accurate numbers uh coming in from narcotron

so as soon as you see those that's also another indication that the projections have been locked or

the projected revenue tab has been locked uh that the records have that the opportunity rather has been

synced with the marketron records however this time when i go to the marketron revenue tab i'll see that

the projected revenue figures have just moved into this marketron revenue tab and now it had the numbers from the

projections have been updated to accurately portray the numbers coming in from marketron so all your

numbers have been updated everything still looks the same but it's just now within a new tab called

marketron revenue so if the opportunity has been synced with a marketron record then it your revenue

split and your revenue will appear on this tab and the other two tabs will be locked now going back to

the first earlier opportunity that i showed you where it has not been synced with a marketron record you'll

still notice i can see the projections the projected revenue however if it's not been synced with the

marketron records if i go into the marketron revenue tab i'll get a notice similar to what we were

seeing in the sense that we can see any marketron revenue uh details here because it's just not been

synced so that is basically at a snapshot of the things to keep in mind when you're trying to identify

records that have been synced and how the syncing actually works in the background hope that was helpful
