02:17At haunted houses, the blood, knives, and spooky monsters are all fake.

02:23But frightful fun became all too real for one family after an actor got a little too into character last weekend.

02:31Karen Bednarski says her 11-year-old son, Frank, went to the seven floors of hell haunted house last Saturday

02:36with his sister and family friends with hopes of having some good scary fun.

02:42But she says things turned just plain scary when they encountered one of the actors outside.

02:47He walked up to my son and he was holding, you know, the knife and his intentions were to scare him.

02:54But my son responded to him by saying, that's fake.

03:00I'm not scared.

03:01That's when Bednarski says the man, identified as Christopher Pogozelski Jr.,

03:06began stabbing the ground with this large Bowie knife,

03:09but then got too close and stabbed a knife through Frank's Croc sandal, slicing the side of his big toe.

03:15He was scraping the knife on the ground in front of them to scare them.

03:19So probably the plastic knife wasn't giving him the same kind of sound, right?

03:24The kids were like, that's just a plastic knife.
