There was an accident involving a walrus at a Chinese wildlife park and Dave shares the emergency back up plan he was taught when working with animals at a theme park.

00:00you guys know that um i hate to even bring it up but it relates to this story that i i worked at

00:14a theme park and i hosted the dolphin and sea lion show right we had dolphin sea lions luckily

00:19we didn't have walruses well what at a walrus show at a wildlife park in shanghai in shangdong

00:28province uh a walrus hugged a tourist too tight the animal keeper jumped in to help and the walrus

00:41just tugged them deep into the waters at the wildlife park and they've died oh we did this too

00:51like the dolphins would you know clap and then the sea lions would actually you know we'd bring a um

00:56every show we'd get a little kid to come up on stage and the walrus or the sea lion would kind

01:01of hug and put its head and give it a sea lion kiss but one time i mean they're still animals right as

01:07much as you train them they still can go rogue and the one uh sea lion just slapped a little bit

01:12just like big that's what i would train and all the parents are screaming and you're like oh no

01:20and then you had to run that sea lion backstage oh reason everybody stay calm because of the

01:27walrus uh dragging people down to the dead

01:31someone to kill him quick

01:35help oh you're going to drown probably

01:39everybody hope you enjoy the show

01:44risky business though i put my life on the line every day at that dolphin and sea lion show

01:52yep gigantic never know when an animal can just decide i i'm pretty sure like a sea lion or a dolphin

02:00and and at any time could kill one of us no problem oh yeah you know yeah seal they got teeth

02:06we were trained in like emergency maneuvers you know yeah what was your emergency maneuver

02:11i don't even want to you probably you kill him like you just oh

02:15that was your emergency maneuver just kill him just kill him right in front of all those kids

02:21oh my god uh each one of us had a knife and we would uh how would you kill them dave i never knew

02:29that that was part of your job uh we'd kill them is what we would do is that what they told you how

02:35would you kill them though red flintstone sea circus we just had to kill them if things got out of

02:39control

02:53wow he snapped his neck

02:58they just beat him to death with bam bam's club exactly bam bam

03:03mr slate of course that was the final option right i mean if you if your life was

03:09in like it's me or him right yeah i mean i get that i guess but that was funny though what's

03:15your emergency protocol i don't really want to say

03:20oh i don't think

03:23you kill him

03:28and they like just chop this poor animal's head off

03:33yeah generally the other because there was always two of us that hosting the show the other person

03:36would have to be the killer as if if the one was going down

03:41the other kids watch

03:42oh just blood so much blood dave just popping out of water every once in a while

03:50spare him

03:50all these guys from the back come out shooting at it oh thank god it didn't happen no no we didn't

04:12have to go to the the final emergency backup bar

04:18oh that would have been a bad day barney get your cross

04:26kids are like this is like nuts this is crazy that guy keeps getting tossed around and screaming

04:31stuff when he comes out of the water kids are like whoever these flintstone guys are

04:35i could just see you someone too that got the seal on like a death grip headlock trying to kill it

04:47snap his neck as you'd have to do

04:52good night bean oh that was one of the names oh bean yeah i was like snickers the seal yeah i

04:58just assumed one would be called snickers that was the little baby one he probably couldn't have
