00:00One of the things we hear from AccuWeather users all the time is how much they enjoy using the free AccuWeather app to help them make the best decisions while they're traveling, either for work or for play. We'll show you some of those features today. I use these features as well to be best informed when I'm traveling.
00:16Let's take a look if we're flying down to Oklahoma City, for example. Of course, you can tap on the top of the AccuWeather app and you can type in any location around the country or around the world. Many times what I'll do, seven to ten days before my trip, I'll go and load where I'm heading or any intermediate stops along the way, any connections in as a favorited location in the AccuWeather app.
00:37You just tap on favorite and also receive notifications for that particular spot so that I can easily keep track of that over the coming days. And you go down to the bottom and tap on daily and that gives you the exclusive AccuWeather day by day forecast.
00:50And say I'm traveling into Oklahoma City on Friday. I'll look at that particular day, 30 percent chance of rain. I'll see some thunderstorm concerns there. And look at the wording. Late in the afternoon, thunderstorms can bring hail and damaging winds.
01:03That will start to be my first flag that I'll want to continue to monitor this forecast even more often than normal. Frequently coming back to the AccuWeather forecast and checking on the timing.
01:12I can also go down to the hourly button and look at the hour by hour forecast there as well. And that's a key aspect in order to decide, well, do I want to perhaps move my flight a little bit earlier or a little bit later?
01:24And using features, again, such as the probability of precipitation and other components, I can track that down hour by hour as you get closer in order to help you to be able to make the best decisions about travel.
