00:22When you download the free AccuWeather app, which you can do by scanning the QR code on the screen,
00:26you bring up the main dashboard and you have AccuWeather's exclusive minute-by-minute forecast out to the next four hours for your exact location.
00:35Another exclusive AccuWeather tool, plus your current conditions and local forecasts with proven superior accuracy.
00:41For tracking thunderstorms, though, one of the main risks, of course, with thunderstorms is lightning,
00:46and that could be a big problem for people that are outside.
00:49One of the tools we have is new lightning alerting in the AccuWeather app,
00:53and this is what those notifications will show up when you activate that feature.
00:57You can see that AccuWeather will send you a push notification, so you can be using another part of your phone
01:03and actually get that app on your screen indicating lightning nearby,
01:07and that can help you to receive that notification.
01:11That's an important notification if you happen to be outside or you're considering to be outside.
01:15You can then come back to the AccuWeather app and tap on Radar and Maps,
01:19and that's when you can go to the AccuWeather interactive map, and it'll zoom right into your area,
01:23but then you have the opportunity to pan back, and you can press play on that.
01:27It'll show you the loop of the radar, what has occurred, and what's coming to help you make the best plan.
01:33So those notifications can be very important.
01:35To bring that up, you tap in the upper left-hand corner, go to Settings, then Manage Notifications,
01:40and make sure lightning alerts are on for your current location and any other locations you care about.
