AccuWeather app provides hourly weather forecasts

AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Jonathan Porter shares forecast features on the AccuWeather app.

00:00There are so many great features in the AccuWeather app to help you make the best weather-informed decisions.

00:09One of the things that we hear from our AccuWeather users all the time is that they love the hour-by-hour forecast.

00:15In order to help you make the best plans, let's take a look at the detail that's available in those forecasts.

00:20When you download and open up the free AccuWeather app, of course we're going to go over to Dallas today,

00:24but you can tap up on the top of the AccuWeather app and go to any location around the country, around the world.

00:29Look at down at the bottom, you have all the different controls, different types of forecasts.

00:33Tap on hourly at the bottom.

00:35And when you do that, you have access to a wide variety of hour-by-hour details.

00:40And you can scroll to a specific hour.

00:43We'll go over to Tuesday, for example, here in the Dallas area.

00:46And if I want to go to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, I just tap.

00:49Of course, I see the temperature and AccuWeather real feel, but I could tap on that 2 p.m.

00:53And look at all the extra information that comes up over here on the right-hand side of the screen on the tablet version.

00:58It'll be down a little bit lower on the phone version, but you see our description of the weather at that time,

01:04the temperature, the AccuWeather real feel, real feel shade, air quality, UV index, wind gust, visibility,

01:10many other hour-by-hour parameters that can be very helpful for you making the best plans and staying safer.

01:17Now, you can also look at a wide variety of different weather types in the Premium Plus app.

01:22That's a subscription capability you can unlock in the free AccuWeather app.

01:26And when you unlock that, with that subscription, you'll be able to plot all these different types of weather at the top.

01:33So we can look at temperature and real feel on one screen.

01:36You can look at the air quality, the relative humidity, also the UV index, wind, cloud cover.

01:43And you can see as you scroll out over time how that changes in order to be able to make the best decisions.
