Utilizing hourly forecasts with the AccuWeather app

Chief Meteorologist Jon Porter shows how you can maximize your weather-related decisions using hour-by-hour forecasts offered by the AccuWeather app.

00:00We have many tools in the AccuWeather app to help you stay safer and make the best decisions.

00:05Our hourly forecasts, hour-by-hour forecasts are one of those tools.

00:09Let's take a look at the free AccuWeather app and the home screen here.

00:12We're going to go down to Corpus Christi, Texas, where we're going to be dealing with

00:15the concerns around a significant flash flooding event in some parts of Texas over the coming

00:21days.

00:22And of course, on the home screen, you have our exclusive AccuWeather Minutecast, which

00:25goes out to the next four hours, minute by minute, as well as your current conditions

00:29and daily forecast.

00:30But if you tap on Hourly down at the bottom, that brings up your next three days of hour-by-hour

00:39forecasts on the free AccuWeather app.

00:40And we take it out to 10 days, hour-by-hour, on the AccuWeather Premium Plus subscription

00:46capability that you can unlock in the app.

00:48And on the Premium Plus app, we bring the ability to provide all kinds of graphs of

00:53the hour-by-hour forecast.

00:55So notice, you can look at the temperature, and you just scroll out here, and you can

00:59look at how the forecast is going to evolve hour-by-hour, what weather conditions are

01:04expected, and also the probability of rainfall, and how much rain will fall in that particular

01:10hour, all listed there.

01:12And you have the ability at the top to select different parameters on the Premium Plus app.

01:17These are great capabilities that people tell us they love, because you can drill into the

01:21rainfall risk, the relative humidity, even the UV index and the wind.

01:26You just tap on those different weather parameters right on the top.

01:29You see cloud cover visibility as well.

01:32And you can scroll out in time over the coming days to be able to see how the forecast is

01:37going to evolve.

01:38Again, tools that you can use to make the best weather-related decisions.
