00:00To this point, the Pittsburgh Sears have outlasted the competition with Aaron Rodgers.

00:05Whether it was the Minnesota Vikings, the New York Giants, or someone else,

00:09if Rodgers wants to play in 2025, it's going to be in Pittsburgh.

00:12But there's been one choice, one decision from Rodgers that's been lurking all offseason,

00:18yet according to Ian Rappaport, it seems very unlikely.

00:25Hey everyone, Rob Grex of A to Z Sports Pittsburgh,

00:28and today, we're going to talk about the likelihood that Aaron Rodgers calls it a quits and retires.

00:34That's right, according to Ian Rappaport of NFL Network,

00:38that proposition seems very unlikely for Aaron Rodgers at this point.

00:42And honestly, in my opinion, it was always unlikely.

00:46Of course, it's Aaron Rodgers. He's an enigma.

00:48We don't know what he's going to do on a daily basis.

00:51Nobody that you talk to can get a good read on what he's thinking.

00:56However, do we really think that a quarterback as decorated as Aaron Rodgers with a Super Bowl,

01:04with four MVPs, was going to go out and just call it a quits after the last two years with the New York Jets?

01:11Do we really think that a quarterback that has an attention for the spotlight,

01:16that craves the media always talking about him the way that Aaron Rodgers does,

01:21that he was just going to up and say,

01:24I'm done. I don't want to play anymore.

01:27Would a quarterback who isn't planning on playing next season

01:31be working out and throwing in the middle of March with Steelers star wide receivers?

01:37I think that the writing has been on the wall the whole time.

01:40Sure, maybe he didn't want to initially play for the Steelers.

01:43Maybe he initially didn't want to play for the Minnesota Vikings,

01:46or for the Giants, or for the Jets. Maybe he had other plans. That's fine.

01:50But this idea that Aaron Rodgers was just going to put his cleats up and call it a career and say,

01:57I'm done. After tearing his Achilles in his first year with the Jets,

02:02then coming back and just having a disastrous season that saw his head coach get fired,

02:07and basically the whole regime overthrown in New York,

02:10did we really think that was going to be his last season in the NFL?

02:14So, that was never really going to be the case.

02:17And this report from Ian Rappaport all but confirms it.

02:21Rodgers wouldn't be spending six hours on a Friday with the Pittsburgh Steelers brass

02:26and throwing with their newly acquired star wide receiver

02:30if he didn't have an interest in returning and, quite frankly, playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

02:35So, what's taking so long? What's the holdup?

02:39That's the part that nobody knows.

02:41That's the enigma part. That's the different cat, walks to the beat of his own drum.

02:45All these cliches and analogies that you hear to describe Aaron Rodgers,

02:49that's what the holdup is.

02:51But, as far as him playing again,

02:54it seems cut and dry that Aaron Rodgers will be back in 2025,

02:58and it's looking more and more likely to be as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
