Mahoba/Jhansi, UP:
A dramatic incident unfolded late last night when Pawan, a contractual employee with the Health Department in Mahoba, contacted police after suspecting an intruder in his Jhansi home where his wife and child reside. His wife, Ritu Verma, works as a clerk in a local college and lives in Jhansi with their 7-year-old son.

According to reports, Pawan was speaking with Ritu over the phone when he sensed that someone else might be present in the house. Alarmed, he dialed emergency helpline 112 and alerted the police, expressing concern for the safety of his wife and child.

When police arrived at the residence, they reportedly found BJP leader and Area Councillor Abhishek Pathak inside. Tensions escalated when Pathak allegedly assaulted an individual who began recording a video of the incident. Authorities then took him to the local police station for questioning.

However, Pathak was later released after Ritu submitted a written statement claiming she had invited him over due to severe stomach pain and required his help for treatment.

Speaking to the media, a distressed Pawan expressed fears for his safety and demanded justice. He alleged a relationship between his wife and the councillor and appealed to authorities to take immediate action, warning that he feared for his life and could “end up in a drum” if left unprotected.

Stay alert, stay aware, stay safe.
