00:00Game-changer, if you will, is the new Regional Coffee Innovation Center and Museum in Davao del Sur.

00:07Not only will this help the coffee industry in Mindanao, but it will also help rural communities.

00:14Sheila Lissondra of Radyo Pilipinas Davao has news for you.

00:20Climate change, plague, and lack of sufficient equipment for farming.

00:25These are just a few of the challenges that coffee farmers are facing in Mindanao to make a living.

00:33But this effort will finally pay off with the help of the Regional Coffee Innovation Center and Museum in Davao del Sur State College.

00:42We have the coffee museum, which we wanted to display the cultural heritage, preservation of coffee,

00:53knowledge, and the science about coffee that is displayed in the museum, and the proper management of farm by farmers.

01:04Through the RCIC, the coffee industry in the province will be more active with the help of new technology

01:12where the knowledge of farmers will also be added and the rural communities will be promoted.

01:18The coffee museum, training room, coffee cupping room, and coffee shop will also be seen in the center.

01:25It also has a sensory laboratory where farmers can examine samples.

01:31It is an interactive learning experience and it is experiential tourism in which they really know about the value chain of coffee.

01:43The DSSC and LGU are positive that the place will be known as an educational and experiential tourism

01:50where visitors can have a seed to cup experience, learn about coffee cultivation, processing, and tasting.
