00:02My favourite neighbourhood in Glasgow.

00:05So that was really good.

00:08Oh, yeah, geez.

00:10So that's the reason I've come to Glasgow.

00:12Yes, my favourite neighbourhood in Glasgow I think would be Shawlins actually.

00:16I live in Tradeson but I'm hoping to move to Shawlins in the next little while.

00:20Just, you know, the perfect blend of everything.

00:22City centre is great, but like being a bit further out, bigger grocery stores, easier to shop.

00:29Lots of good food options, lots of places to go out, so yeah.

00:32My favourite neighbourhood in Glasgow?

00:34That's a hard one.

00:35Because I kind of moved all around.

00:38I went to school in the West End, which I know is a little controversial, but I like the West End.

00:43It's probably my favourite bit of Glasgow.

00:44I really like the Alley Arms for a drink.

00:47Where did you grow up?

00:48Springburn, Glasgow.

00:50It was nice.

00:53Also like the Millport pub, further south, and now the new Marlborough, formerly the Shed famously, right?

01:00Happy to see that back in action.

01:02What do you like about it?

01:04There's a range of shops.

01:06Obviously you get the high market stuff, but then you get all the weird quirky places that you've never even heard of

01:12until you turn down a random street and you're like, oh, that's where they sell old comic books I guess.

01:17Well, I love coming into the city centre, you know, because there's that many shops and restaurants

01:21and it's really vibrant and busy, you know.

01:23And I find that the Glasgow people are really, in a whole, quite friendly, you know.

01:28And I enjoy going up towards the Trongate High Street and up towards the Barrowland.

01:34I like going into the market to see what's, you know, just have a look, you know what I mean?

01:39So that's the reason I come into Glasgow, you know.

01:42It's a nice childhood there.

01:43We used to sing round the back and that and enjoy ourselves.

01:47It was really marvellous.

01:48Gets you out for the day and, you know, can go for something to eat.

01:50There's plenty of restaurants and stuff about, you know, and that's really what I love about it, you know.

01:55Yeah, no, I love Glasgow.

01:57I'd been here lots over the years, so I knew what I was getting into.

02:01But it's a great city.

02:02It's true, people do make Glasgow.

02:04Everyone's so friendly.

02:05Even the day that I moved here, I had like three suitcases.

02:08People were offering to help me on Saki Hall Street to get to the post office to pick up my visa, all that sort of thing.

02:14So yeah, it's just, it's a great city.

02:15It's a great city and especially on a sunny day, like, now I can't complain.

02:19Well, I actually like the Weatherspoons, to be honest, you know, at the George Square.

02:23So I've just been near this now and I've just come back out of there, you know.

02:26Because they do a nice steak and chips.

02:29So that's usually, sometimes where I go, you know.

02:31Especially up where the cathedral is and where Necropolis is, it's gorgeous.

02:35I mean, you just look up, you'll find statues.

02:38I think the city is one of the most beautiful places here.

02:41Paisley.

02:42The people in that, they were friendly and the children were happy in that.

02:46Playing round the back at wee shops and things, you know, it was good.

02:49And we had wee concerts as well to sing.

02:53Each one took a wee turn individually to sing a song.

02:56Years ago, it was wonderful.

02:58It was a beautiful town.
