We ask Bemz his favourite spots across the city.

00:00How are you doing everybody? I'm Bemz, I'm a rapper based in Glasgow.
00:03I'm headlining the BBC Interjection stage on a Friday, man. Crazy.
00:09Transmit is probably the biggest festival in Scotland, so it's something that I've always wanted her to do.
00:14I never got a chance to play Tina Park, which still breaks my heart, you know what I mean?
00:17Two years ago I got the first opportunity to play Transmit and we actually opened the stage.
00:22I was the first act on. I think people were still getting let in when I was playing.
00:27To go from that to two years later now, closing out the stage, yeah man, it's a buzz and I can't wait, I'm very excited for it.
00:35Growing up and not being based in Glasgow, you know, being in surrounding villages like Stringra and Eyre,
00:41it was kind of always a goal of mine to just be recognised for what it is that I can bring to the table, which is my music.
00:48And then obviously I work hard, I work hard and I make it to Glasgow and then I realise when I get to Glasgow that it's like,
00:53oh damn, the type of music that I make isn't even at the forefront yet, do you know what I mean?
00:57So it doesn't even matter how hard I work, like nine out of ten times I probably won't even get to where I want to get to.
01:01So it's been a lot for me to now be at the quote unquote forefront as a privilege.
01:07Like I'm not even the greatest and I'm here, so imagine if we gave a lot of opportunities to like all these other people who may not be as visible as what I am.
01:15Do you know what I mean?
01:16With that in mind, it's kind of gave me a goal and an aim to like progress the music scene a bit further.
01:23And we've done that by, you know, obviously doing multiple events that showcase like local up and coming acts.
01:29We've actually got our own festival, M4 Festival, which is like, everybody on the line up is from Scotland, do you know what I mean?
01:37And everybody makes different types of music and it's like, how do we use this opportunity to like platform these people?
01:42Because not everybody gets the opportunity to play a big festival like Transmit, you know?
01:46I'm very, very, very privileged that I know that and it's like, so I just plan to use these to just like elevate everyone else that's around me.
01:53And hopefully the end goal is in ten years there's a wide range of different musicians from different backgrounds and different places in Scotland doing cool things.
02:02If we don't look after our own, who's going to look after us, innit? Do you know what I mean?
02:06Like, and like I say, I've been that wee guy sitting and begging for an opportunity that never comes.
02:14Describing my music to someone who's never heard it is, it's crazy because like, I don't have a specific sound, innit?
02:20Like, obviously I rap, but like, I do it over like different types of like genre beats, do you know what I mean?
02:28But if you like honesty and like truth, yeah, you like my music.
02:32But for Transmit, yeah, we're elevating it and playing with a live band, do you know what I mean?
02:38So it'll be the first time that we've played on a, actually no, it'll be the first time we've played Transmit with a band.
02:44Because the last time we've done it with a DJ, we've obviously done multiple festivals with the band before.
02:48So yeah, it brings a brand new element to it.
02:50And it's going to be like a proper out and out performance.
02:53And, you know, by God's grace, I can give everybody a show that is worth closing out a stage.
02:59No, it won't be the only one at any
