00:00Another series of horrific rapes have shocked France.

00:04When confronted by the police, this man confessed to having raped 15 women after drugging his victims.

00:10He's a 34-year-old landscaper from the south of France with no previous criminal record.

00:15According to the prosecutor, he confessed to his crimes.

00:20He admitted filming the events and acting under the influence of cocaine.

00:25The story begins last January in this gendarmerie in Leroux in southern France.

00:31When two women turned up to file a full report,

00:34they claimed to have been raped by their landscaper at their home in Sausson,

00:38a small town home to only a few thousand residents.

00:42The suspect's neighbors are in shock and disbelief. Some even witnessed his arrest.

00:46I thought he was so nice we should invite him for dinner.

00:50And his wife was also very nice.

00:53I'm completely shocked and horrified that this sort of thing could happen in our little village.

00:57I'm the mother of a little girl.

00:58I know this happened to minors and I'm completely shocked by it.

01:03When he came to work in gardens of clients,

01:05he would take advantage of coffee breaks to give them Xanax, a strong antidepressant.

01:12They are sedatives. To summarize it simply,

01:15they're central nervous system depressants that will slow everything down,

01:18lower your guard, cause a drop in vigilance and then provoke a state of amnesia

01:22that is particularly wanted by predators.

01:28The suspect stated that the victims were aged between 7 and 80 years old.

01:33He has been imprisoned, but investigators are continuing their inquiries.

01:37They want to identify victims who may have been drugged

01:40but unaware that they were assaulted or raped.
