00:00A U.S. Navy fighter jet crashed into San Diego Bay while attempting to land, with both pilots
00:08ejecting safely moments before impact.
00:12The EA-18G Growler, based out of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, went down around 10.15am
00:18during a training exercise.
00:20A fishing boat rescued the aircrew before they were transferred to a CBP patrol vessel
00:24and taken to a hospital in stable condition.
00:27The crash, captured on surveillance footage, showed the aircraft plunging nose-first into
00:31the water.
00:32The Navy is now working to recover debris and contain any fuel spills, as investigators
00:37determine what went wrong.
