Hi, I'm Jay Phillips and I'm Head Teacher here at Wensfield Academy.
00:07
At Wensfield we're very proud of our pupils who really do buy into the school community.
00:12
We're also very lucky to have supportive parents and a superb staff body.
00:17
Here we have a fantastic library as well as this theatre that you'll see and other excellent
00:23
classrooms.
00:24
We're very pleased that our admissions numbers continue to go up and up and we are now heavily
00:28
over-subscribed because parents want their children to attend here.
00:34
So we've got three budding scientists here, how are you doing guys, are you ok?
00:37
Yeah.
00:38
What's your names?
00:39

00:54
We're the science.
00:55
And what is it you want to go on to do, kind of once you leave school, career-wise?
00:58
Any ideas yet?
00:59
I'd like to go into politics and try and improve people's lives and make the area that I grew
01:07
up in a bit better.
01:08
Fair do, mate.
01:09
And?
01:10
The film industry.
01:11
Film industry?
01:12
Yeah, cool.
01:13
I'd like to go into pediatric nursing.
01:14

01:15

01:16
Well we wish you all the best with your chosen careers guys, take care of yourselves, thank
01:21
you.
01:22
So this is our library here at Wensfield Academy, we're really proud of how we've restocked
01:27
a number of the books and pupils come in regularly at break time and after school and
01:31
very much enjoy reading a number of different novels.
01:34
We're also very lucky to run a number of different programmes with the Accelerated Reader and
01:38
the Lipsonic to help those pupils who may be initially finding reading slightly challenging,
01:43
but those programmes and the teaching enable them to be able to access a greater range.
01:48
How you doing guys, you okay?
01:50
Yeah.
01:51
What do you think of your fantastic library?
01:52

01:59

02:00

02:04
Ah, he's the one, they've done some of his books into films, haven't they?
02:08
Yeah.
02:09
Oh, right, cool.
02:10
And what about you guys, what you been up to?
02:11
I'm also reading Henry, Perry and Curious, I think I'm going to teach it.
02:16
Well, if it's as good as the title, it's a good book.
02:18
How's it going down, alright?
02:20
Yeah.
02:21
Yeah?
02:22
What's the basis of it then, is it a bit of a fantasy book?
02:24
It's called Ugly Pigeon and it's one of my favourite books of all.
02:27
