00:40Like I said there's a few nice places where you can make a little day of it.

00:45Sometimes there's a food thing around the corner where there's loads of food vans.

01:29I'm Dylan Johnson and I've lived in Codsall for the past two years.

01:34How long have you been here at Medicine Bakery?

01:35I've worked at Medicine since November 24th.

01:39What do you like the most about Codsall?

01:41It's quiet.

01:42It's a nice little good sense of community in the village.

01:46Yeah.

01:47It's a nice place to work.

01:51Why should more people come out to visit us?

01:53Just, I mean, the area's lovely.

01:56Especially when it's nice and sunny.

01:57Obviously it's not now, but yeah, it's sunny.

01:59We've got nice places to eat like Medicine.

02:45How long have you worked here?

02:47It's coming up to about two years now.

02:50So the 28th of July was that big grand up in a night.

02:53And that was the first night I worked.

02:56What do you like about being based in Codsall?

02:58Well, I actually live in Oldbury, so I travel 30 minutes every day.

03:03So it can't be too bad.

03:05Yeah.

03:06It's a nice, quiet little village.

03:07It's quite a close-knit community.

03:08You see a lot of the same locals come in every single day.

03:11So, yeah, it's quite a nice little community.

03:15Why should more people come out and visit Codsall?

03:18The place in general is a beautiful place to visit.

03:21Like I say, it's a really nice, close-knit community.

03:24Especially this pub in particular, it's starting to really pick up now.

03:28So a lot of people are travelling to Codsall because we host a lot of big events.

03:32Especially in this pub, word-of-mouth events, things like that.

03:35So you can get really busy on the weekends.

03:37But also in the week, we have like a nice selection of food.

03:42So if you're looking for something more quiet, you can come in the week.

03:45And then on the weekend, it picks up and it's like a big party in here.

03:50Any other recommendations in the area?

03:52Anywhere you'd recommend going to visit?

03:54There's Love & Liquor over the road.

03:56There's the bull.

03:57There's the station just around here.

03:59There's a big park just where Burgess Bridges.

04:02And they always have like a big fair on.

04:04So there's plenty to do.

04:05Yeah, brilliant.

04:06Is there anything that you wish there was more of here?

04:09It's hard to say, really.

04:13I'd say we're the only sort of bar that has like a big, big nightlife sort of thing.

04:19There's quite a spot here and there.

04:21But maybe something for the younger kids to come and maybe enjoy themselves a little bit more like that.

04:35Do you ever have a catch?

04:36Yeah.

04:37So we have Digbeth Dining Club set up in our car park just in the back.

04:40That's coming up this Friday.

04:43Word of mouth will be every couple of months.

04:46We have quizzes every Thursday.

04:48Bingo nights with like special wings on on a Wednesday.

04:52Two for one pizzas Monday and Tuesday.

04:55But like I say, we've always got like big DJ sessions.

04:57Sunset sessions.

04:58Not so much today, but normally when it's this time of year, we have a lot of DJ sessions.

05:04We have library sessions the last Saturday of the month in our function room in the library.

05:11So yeah, there's always plenty going on, a lot of live music going on.

05:14Live music every Friday night as well.

05:16So yeah, plenty to do.

05:23My name's Peter.

05:24Peter Woodifield.

05:25It's part of the Wolves London Supporters Club.

05:30And basically, as I say, we're in Wolverhampton for a few days since Sunday's match.

05:35And it was one of our, you know, just visit around, you know, outside of Wolverhampton basically.

05:41Yeah, exactly.

05:42And Codsall was one of the places where you're always on our list.

05:45So that's why we decided to come here today, you know, for a couple of hours and come back.

05:51And that's it, basically, really.

05:53Just a general relaxing few days at the end of the football season.

06:01What do you like the most about Codsall?

06:02You've been here a few times, you said.

06:04Well, it's probably the pub on the road, what you're saying, actually.

06:08I mean, this is probably the first we've been into Codsall, actually, today.

06:12So, but, yeah, I mean, it's a nice area, nice, quiet area as well.

06:17And it's nice, you know, I mean, a few people we've met are very friendly people up here.

06:21So, that's, you know, probably that's better what I can say, really.

06:25But other than that, what we've seen so far, yeah.

06:28It's really, you know, very nice place to live, you know what I thought, yeah.

06:34Would you like to come back to visit again?

06:35Oh, we'd definitely come back, yeah.

06:42Because, basically, we came up, we obviously would come up to the train from Wolverhampton.

06:46It's only less than 10 minutes from Wolverhampton Centre.

06:49So, yeah, so it's quite easy to get to as well, you know, from there.
