00:00Good afternoon, well the skies have brightened up across the southeast of

00:04England today, but cloudier out towards the west with grey skies and murky

00:09conditions. Taking a look at the bigger picture then, we've got higher pressure

00:11out towards the east, a weak frontal system, but a northwest southeast split

00:16as we start the new week. We'll have this cold front sinking its way south and

00:20eastwards through Monday and Tuesday to bring heavy spells of rain, but as we go

00:25midweek, higher pressure will be building from the south helping to

00:29settle things down a bit and to give a good deal of sunshine. But back to the

00:35rest of this afternoon then, so we hold on to plenty of sunshine across East

00:39Anglia and the southeast of England this afternoon. Cloudier out towards the west

00:43with outbreaks of rain and drizzle at times across northwestern England, parts

00:47of Wales and the southwest of England too, but Northern Ireland and Western

00:52Scotland it is going to be turning a drier and brighter as we end Sunday

00:56afternoon. But for all of us, temperatures generally around average

01:00for the time of year, but hopefully feeling pleasant in any sunshine. So as

01:06we go through Sunday evening then, we hold on to the clearest skies for the

01:09longest across the southeast, so temperatures quickly falling away, but

01:13this legacy of cloud will gradually start filtering in. The rain should

01:17fizzle out at times as well, just giving some patchy drizzle over the hills, but

01:22turning increasingly windy across northwest Scotland through the early

01:27hours and parts of Northern Ireland as well. But it will generally stay cloudy

01:31for most of us, so temperatures generally staying up and frost free, but across the

01:36far southeast of England that's where we could see a touch of frost for the

01:41Monday morning commute and perhaps even some freezing fog patches too. So as we

01:47go through Monday then, across much of England and Wales it's a largely drier

01:51picture. We may see some hazy spells of sunshine coming through across the West

01:55with a few showers too, but turning increasingly wet and windy across

02:00northwestern Scotland and Northern Ireland with coastal gales and some

02:05heavy and persistent rain across the Western Isles and coming in towards the

02:08southwest of Scotland later. So a very wet picture to come as we come Monday

02:13afternoon. But temperatures still ranging around 9 to even 11 degrees, so rather

02:20mild actually for the time of year. So as we go through Monday evening then, a wet

02:27end to the day across much of Scotland with heavy spells of rain and some

02:31strong winds. That will affect Northern Ireland as well, but across much of

02:36England and Wales we hold on to cloudier skies, so not as cold as we start Tuesday

02:41morning. Then through Tuesday the cold front continues to move its way south

02:46and eastwards, but higher pressure then will build by midweek. So this will allow

02:51temperatures to quickly fall away as well. So overnight we'll see temperatures

02:55dropping to give overnight frosts and fog, but generally most places should

03:00see a good deal of sunshine by midweek. That's all from me for now though, but
