00:00Hello there, good morning. Lots of cloud to start the weekend, some drizzle at times too

00:05and if you find yourself high up on a hill you might have even noticed a dusting of snow.

00:10That's all because of this area of cloud and rain just pushing its way northwards across

00:14the country, bringing some snow to the Welsh hills, also at times across parts of the Pennines

00:18too. Mostly to hills though you could see some flurries to lower levels too and we should

00:23start to see some sunshine, particularly across the south east, some sunshine breaking through

00:27the cloud here and also across the north west, plenty of bright skies here and also

00:31some sunshine. Largely dry though if you shift your way further east, a few showers moving

00:36through here and once again these could fall to snow, mainly to higher ground but also

00:40some flurries to lower levels too. Now temperatures are around about average for the time of year

00:46and winds should have eased off slightly compared to what they were yesterday but it's still

00:49going to be feeling fairly chilly with highs of only around 7 to 8 Celsius across the far

00:54south. Now heading into the evening there's not going to be much change really, still

01:00a mix of cloud and some clearer spells, that cloud thick enough at times to produce some

01:04drizzle, perhaps even still some sleet across the hills. It's going to stay clearest for

01:08longest once again across the far north west so a chance we could see some frost here and

01:13temperatures may just dip below zero if we start to see any of those clear spells stick

01:17around but for most there's still going to be plenty of cloud around so most towns and

01:21cities just about staying above freezing. Now Sunday the second half of the weekend,

01:27not much change, still plenty of cloud in the sky, some drizzle at times too, particularly

01:33later into the afternoon across central and southern parts of the UK. Once again the best

01:37of the brightness across the far north west of Scotland, perhaps a bit more of a cloudier

01:41day on offer later into Sunday for Northern Ireland and temperatures once again not much

01:46change, highs of around 7 to 8 Celsius though we could just start to see that easterly

01:51breeze pick up a little bit for parts of Yorkshire, Lincolnshire so feeling chilly

01:55here in any exposed spots. Now heading into the new working week are we going to see any

02:00of that cloud move away? Well I'm afraid we're still under the influence of this high pressure

02:04across Scandinavia so still that easterly component to the wind so once again it's still

02:09going to continue to drag plenty of cloud in and if we start to see those winds increasing

02:13it could feel rather chilly even though temperatures are remaining around about average for this
