00:00Malaysia has set a security mission under the UNPBB in Lebanon, UNIFIL started in 2007
00:11through an MOU between Malaysia, United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations, UNDPKO and UNIFIL.
00:22The latest movement was from 14 November 2023 to 14 November 2024, involving 853 officers and members of the Malaysian Army,
00:36including a military and diplomatic officer, a civilian officer, the Ministry of Defense, and 29 members of the Brunei Armed Forces, ABDB.
00:46In addition to Malaysia, a total of 50 UNPBB members also joined this UNIFIL mission,
00:52with a total of 10,058 members and officers.
01:00To answer questions from the audience, as has been answered by the Minister of Defense
01:07while answering questions from the Red Crescent during the Minister's question time,
01:12the status of the members and the Malbat 85011 team in Lebanon is still under control,
01:18based on the latest reports.
01:20The safety level of the Malbat 85011 team is safe and there is no risk of life and asset damage in the protected area
01:29and is controlled by our team throughout the war between Hezbollah and Israel.
01:34I do not deny that when we act under the UNPBB, managed by UNIFIL,
01:42we have several directions in terms of operations and actions.
01:48Therefore, if we look at what the Minister has explained,
01:53to defend ourselves or the safety of the members is still our priority.
01:59On the other hand, we do not deny that when we act under the UNPBB,
02:09we do know that the aspects of goodness are still our priority.
02:14Especially when it comes to injury or other major risks,
02:20all these responsibilities have been provided to us
02:26as long as we are managed by UNIFIL and in Lebanon.
02:34So I do not deny, although we know that we not only see our value in terms of money,
02:41but we also take into account our value in terms of the sacrifices they have made
02:47as long as they have served in Malbat.
02:49I would also like to remind the members that within a year,
02:54they will have a rotation schedule.
02:57So if we look at the 11th Malbat, the schedule is until 14th November.
03:04After that, starting from 6th November,
03:07we will have a new rotation for our 12th rotation.
03:12That is all I know.
