Police have dismantled a lottery scam syndicate linked to at least 15 cases across several states, with reported losses nearing RM200,000.
Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa on Wednesday (July 23) said seven suspects were arrested during six raids in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor on July 4.
The syndicate allegedly posed as lottery winners offering to share prize money, before conning victims into handing over their valuables and ATM cards.
