00:00The sixth edition of the National Festival of the Civil Economy has concluded.
00:04The key to a new model of economic development is participation,
00:09which represents the nourishment of the land of democracy, civility and active citizenship.
00:16The Italian civil society must be the laboratory of good practices and responses on the field,
00:22a witness of a fruitful collaboration between local administrations
00:26in a shared administrative logic that must build networks and enhance the multiplier of generating energies.
00:35The National Festival of the Civil Economy represents an extraordinary meeting point
00:42and a place for exchange of ideas for a healthy social innovation.
00:46What is the message of the manifesto of young people for the new social and civil economy?
00:51To be an active part of the change and the transformation that we have been promoting for six years with the Festival.
00:56Obviously, putting young people at the center does not only mean listening to them, but making them participate in the decisions.
01:01And so when we promote a model of city that is more inclusive, open and sustainable,
01:05we have to think about what role young people will have to make these cities more and more civil economy.
01:10And so the theme of this year, which is the time to participate, is yes, participation of all, but starting from future generations.
01:16The results are those consistent with the great work we have seen in these days,
01:22which consisted in the extraordinary participation.
01:25The theme of this festival was the moment to participate and we had an extraordinary active participation,
01:32especially of young people, students, university students, high schools.
01:37And this was very important because it was one of the goals.
01:41We brought to the center of attention this theme, which for us is a theme, so to speak, of everyday life,
01:50because being all exponents of the world of cooperation, cooperation is in itself a moment of participation.
01:57Contractual relations between organizations of representatives, companies and workers must be exalted.
02:07This is essential to build together, in a new pact for work, the rules and the commitment.
02:13The minimum wage is not enough, but it is necessary to rethink new tools that exalt the welfare,
02:23that reward productivity and that give more money in cash to the workers,
02:29because we also need, to some extent, to relaunch that equitable and fair distribution of resources that feeds social cohesion.
02:39This sixth edition has put in place a concrete approach to find the keys that allow to feed more effective participation processes
02:49and to experiment new local development models.
