00:01Back at it again with another edition of Furniture Flip.

00:05Unfortunately, a big old puppy did get to these corners.

00:08You hate to see it, really.

00:09But now the MDF is exposed, so let's fix it.

00:11It'll be like nothing ever happened.

00:13Before we fix those corners, though, you know, it's gotta go.

00:16It's got to go!

00:17Maybe one day I'll enjoy a good wooden plug.

00:20But until then, wham!

00:22Wham again!

00:23Okay, where were we?

00:24I'm gonna re-sculpt those corners with Bondo.

00:26Bondo is epoxy-based, so it's gonna be stronger than wood filler

00:29and better for larger repairs,

00:30especially on places like the corners that are most likely going to be bumped.

00:34And while we're getting the corners,

00:35might as well get all the holes that I created by taking off the wood plugs.

00:38Disclaimer, this stuff does stink, so gas mask is on.

00:40Safety first.

00:41These side tables were pretty shiny,

00:42so I first scuff-sanded with 150 grit and then went over with 220.

00:46There was a small amount of bubbling from water,

00:48so I sanded that smooth.

00:49I let the sander do the work.

00:50Just let it sit on top, running it gently back and forth.

00:54You don't want to push in here

00:55because you don't want to dig into the surrounding area.

00:57I first wiped them down with a microfiber rag

00:59and then went back over it with tack cloth.

01:01The Krusty Dustys love the corners,

01:02so tack cloth really helps with the tight spots.

01:05She's gonna sand it, her first round of filler is on,

01:07and she's ready for prime.

01:08Don't judge me for this.

01:09I know I need a work table,

01:10but we do not have the space for that right now.

01:11So moving blanket and painter's plastic will have to do.

01:14Please hold for a brief intermission while I try to get this drawer out.

01:16Do do do do do do do do do do do do.

01:22And 10 minutes later, we finally got it.

01:24Quick peek to see if my neighbor saw me do that.

01:27And back to business.

01:28I'm laying them upside down so I don't strain a neck muscle

01:30while I'm trying to get the lips and all the details.

01:32We're bringing out a new gallon of bin for this one.

01:35And yes, I did spill it everywhere.

01:37I don't want to talk about it.

01:37Moving on.

01:38I did two coats of primer standing in between coats,

01:41and then I wanted to add a little fun detail to the drawers.

01:43So I got this got piece of textured wallpaper

01:45that I found at a local craft store.

01:46It was only 50 cents.

01:47I said, why not?

01:48I cut out a template so we could just easily knock out

01:50all four strips that I needed.

01:51And you know Daddy-O's gotta help,

01:52so he's slicing it for me.

01:53I always prime before I lay down textured wallpaper,

01:56but just keep in mind,

01:57any layers will affect your measurements.

01:58So I just scraped the edges with a carbide scraper

02:00so that my design would lay flat inside of the trim.

02:02I brushed on my Roman wallpaper glue

02:04and then smoothed out the textured wallpaper

02:05to make sure there was no air bubble.

02:06Shout out to my Costco card.

02:07And here they are.

02:08I used a new paint, which was high-key expensive,

02:10but I'll give it to them.

02:10The color is beautiful.

02:11This is Restoration Bronze by Melange.

02:13I used the original hardware because of the bronze undertone.

02:15I think the wallpaper's classy.
