High pressure will bring calm and settled weather conditions across the UK for the rest of the week and as we head into the weekend with plenty of dry and sunny weather - but how long will this last?

00:19up across northern and western areas during the morning, and cloud cover will tend to

00:23build in from the south across southern England later in the day.

00:28Saturday will continue to be mainly dry with long sunny spells, but there will be more

00:32cloud cover around across southern and central England, and a few showers may develop in

00:37the far south towards the end of the day.

00:40Sunday will continue to be mainly dry, but there will be more cloud cover around on Sunday

00:44than compared to on Saturday, and there is a threat of showers developing across southern

00:49England, which may also push northwards into central areas too.
