00:00It's one of the core tenets of his re-election campaign.

00:04During a visit to the U.S. southern border with Mexico in the key swing state of Arizona,

00:09Donald Trump reminded voters of his stance on tough border security, pointing out the

00:14wall built during his presidency.

00:16That's a lot of wall up there we built. And if you look at the top, that's where they

00:20stopped when Biden and Harris came in. That's where they stopped and that's how they get

00:25in. They can't come in here. This was all done to the specifications of the border patrol

00:30and ICE and everybody else. It's an anti-climb panel on top. It makes it very hard to climb.

00:37The Trump administration's zero tolerance immigration policies separated thousands of

00:41children from their families and restricted travel for Muslims under his travel ban. And

00:46his current campaign pledges even more hardline policies.

00:50The 78-year-old continued personal attacks on his opponent Kamala Harris, alluding she's

00:55a communist, before blasting her record on immigration and border security.

01:01We had a border czar. Who was the border czar? She loved the title but she didn't want to

01:05do the work because she's lazy and probably more importantly than being lazy, she wants

01:11to have an open border.

01:13The former president's visit to the Arizona border is his latest event held in battleground

01:17states this week, as he pushes to draw focus on one of the Democrats' biggest political

01:22vulnerabilities against the backdrop of the Democratic National Convention.

01:27Democrats have accused Trump of weaponising the border as a way to demonise immigrants

01:31and have recently defended the party's stance, saying Harris is tough as nails on the issue.
