00:17Galata DAP Chairman Azzahar Abdul Rani said the decision was made because the party's

00:22leadership has not been directly involved in BN's campaign due to the absence of an

00:26official invitation, as confirmed by DAP Secretary-General Lok Siu Fok.

00:31Azzahar said the state DAP would adhere to the central leadership's decision to stay

00:36out of the campaign, after Abnur expressed that it did not want DAP's involvement,

00:41believing it was strong enough to win.

00:44On Tuesday, Lok said DAP would not assist in campaigning for BN candidate Azmawi Fikri

00:49Abnur Ghani, as no invitation had been received.

00:53DAP previously indicated its willingness to assist BN's campaign for the August 17

00:58by-election, if requested by the unity coalition.

01:01However, Abnur adviser Tengku Razali Hamzah said there was no need for DAP to campaign
