Steve Carell tells THR on the 'IF' movie premiere carpet how he jumped at the chance to work with John Krasinski again partly "just to be with him." Plus, he reveals he will not be participating in 'The Office' reboot.

00:16 And it was just a joy from beginning to end and I jumped at the chance to work with him again.

00:21 Just partly just to be with him, you know.

00:23 He's a good friend and I hadn't seen him in a while, so it was nice to catch up.

00:28 Well, speaking of, I know that Greg Daniels is creating a reboot.

00:31 Would Michael Scott ever show up in this new world and will you be watching?

00:35 I will be watching, but I will not be showing up.

00:37 Okay, okay. So that's totally off the cards.

00:40 That is off the cards. I think they... Yeah, it's just a new thing.

00:43 And there's really no reason for my character to show up in something like that.

00:47 But I'm excited about it. It sounds like a great conceit.

00:51 I love the idea. I guess it's set in a failing newspaper company.

00:55 And I worked with Donald Gleeson, who is one of the leads.

00:59 And I did The Patient with him and he's an excellent actor and a super nice guy.
