Today's recipe is Valache Bhaat and it's a very very famous Maharashtrian recipe.

When we go to the remote areas of Maharashtra, it is served with ghee, pickle, curd and it's a great source of protein.

Actually, if you are sitting in a village in Maharashtra, you will enjoy eating Valache Bhaat.

It's raining outside and if you are eating Valache Bhaat in a hut with tasty ghee and curd, what will you think?

Although it tastes a bit bitter because of one of the ingredients.

I don't know what the ingredient is because my mother knows it better.

But when I ate it in the experimental stage when my mother made it for me, it tasted a bit bitter but then it actually grows on you.

The recipe that we are making today is a Maharashtrian rice recipe.

We will use two types of wal.

One is white wal and the other is brown wal.

In Marathi, it's called Kadve wal.

We have taken one cup of Kadve wal.
