Goldstone Hall Have Opened Their Gardens To The Public

00:00 Goldstone for a long time has been a sort of undiscovered secret, not too far from Market

00:05 Drayton and Newport and right in the middle of Shropshire. Now we're throwing open the garden,

00:10 there are five acres of splendid gardens including herbaceous borders, there's an acre of kitchen

00:16 garden which produces produce for our award-winning restaurant and we'd like to share it with as many

00:23 people as possible. I've been very lucky because I've got a whole new challenge here at Goldstone

00:29 and we're a new team and we're looking forward to putting our stamp on the garden. For me the main

00:35 change has been the intensity with which we we garden here at Goldstone. We want plenty of colour

00:41 all year round for people to enjoy and of course we've got to keep up with the demands of our

00:45 kitchen so the kitchen garden and the polytunnel is key. So far the feedback has been absolutely

00:52 100% positive. People seem to really enjoy the setting, the tranquility, the peace and the quiet

01:00 and of course it all helps when there's a nice drink at the bar at the end of the evening. So

01:05 I think for our guests who are staying here, for anybody who's coming for a wedding or a house

01:09 party or just for Sunday lunch, you're bound to find something at Goldstone that you'll take home

01:15 with you. I think the time is right now because we've learned so much in the past few years about

01:22 just how important gardens are for people to walk in and enjoy, for people's mental health,

01:28 for people's well-being and we really are here committed to hospitality and that means

01:34 welcoming people as much as possible to share what we've been enjoying here at Goldstone.
