Liverpool 4-0 LASK: post-match reaction

Will Rooney reports from Anfield after the Reds' Europa League victory.

00:00 Well, full time here and absolutely freezing cold and feels as you can probably tell.

00:05 With myself with two coats on, both the Liverpool fans certainly have plenty to cheer about.

00:10 A 4-0 victory over Lask in the Europa League warmed the cockles and it moved Liverpool into the knockout stage of the competition.

00:18 Because Toulouse dropping points against Union SG meant that Liverpool topped the group as well.

00:23 And into the knockout stage as I say, a routine victory. Liverpool ran riot against a last size who didn't really compete.

00:31 They had a spell in the second half but the game was already done then.

00:34 Jürgen Klopp, he named a fairly strong team, especially the attacking three of Mo Salah, Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz.

00:40 And they were absolutely superb. Luis Diaz opened the score and he spread it wide to Joe Gomez.

00:47 Carries on his run, Gomez dinks a ball into the box and Diaz heads home and then a couple of minutes later Gakpo makes it 2-0.

00:55 Lovely cross from Salah from the right with the outsides of his left boot and there's Gakpo from close range.

01:01 Liverpool should have went into the break a lot more than 2-0 up.

01:05 They had opportunities, Salah had one saved by the keeper.

01:09 Joe Gomez actually went close, still waiting for his first Liverpool goal of course.

01:15 He had an effort that went just wide.

01:18 Second half, Liverpool wrapped it up in the 54th minute.

01:21 And Cody Gakpo, who was Liverpool's man of the match, he was superb.

01:24 He hasn't had a lot of opportunities in late book.

01:27 He was really, really impressive spearheading the attack.

01:30 He won a penalty brought down by the last keeper and Salah steps up and just slams home, rifles it, bottom corner.

01:36 I mean even if the keeper, the keeper's route to the spot but even if he gets right he wouldn't save it.

01:41 It was an absolutely superb penalty. Liverpool, they just took their foot off the gas for a little bit.

01:46 They made changes. Salah came off, Diaz came off.

01:49 Not a big surprise given that Liverpool are back here on Sunday against Fulham.

01:53 Lask had a couple of opportunities.

01:55 Kovin Kelleher, who's separate running the team now with Alisson Becher out injured, made a couple of very good saves.

02:01 Considering he didn't have a save to make in the first half, you know,

02:05 chose the concentration levels that are needed in a goalkeeper.

02:08 Especially when you're a team like Liverpool where you dominate games.

02:11 Teams can get opportunities, you've got to stay concentrated.

02:14 Jadal Kwan-Sar, who's magnificent at the back, the 20-year-old, made a great block as well.

02:19 And then in the 90th minute, Liverpool wrapped up proceedings.

02:22 Chante Alexander-Arnold, who came on to a sub, picks out Gakpo on the left and he just rifles home.

02:29 So say Liverpool. Wolfsburg, they slip up against Toulouse away.

02:33 They've been impeccable in this Europa League group stage, still one game to go against Union SG in Brussels next month.

02:45 But yeah, Liverpool, look, I think a lot of fans are starting to think, can we go all the way here?
