00:00 Ukraine's 134-kilometre-long border. On top of that, just before this visit on Thursday,
00:07 he met with the Ukrainian Prime Minister, who was here in Rome on an official visit.
00:12 And so really, he himself, before this visit, the Pope said that he's making this trip to
00:19 the centre of Europe, even over which the icy winds of war continue to blow. So clearly,
00:26 the war in Ukraine very much on top of his mind as he is going to be travelling there.
00:32 The two leaders, the Pope as well as Viktor Orban, both of them pushing for peace. That's
00:39 something that Mr Orban is probably going to be stressing, that there are commonalities.
00:43 They're pushing for peace, they're pushing for dialogue, but they have a very different
00:47 approach, particularly on the issue of military aid. The Hungarian leader refusing to back
00:54 military aid to the Ukrainians, refusing to allow NATO to push those arms across the country
01:03 to bring it to Ukraine. And let's not forget, Hungary also has strong ties, economic ties
01:09 with Russia. The Pope, on the other hand, has said that weapons can be used in self-defence.
01:17 That is morally acceptable. So on that front, a different stance. But Mr Orban clearly going
01:25 to be seeing that this trip that the Pope is making to Hungary is sort of a triumph
01:30 of sorts for him in terms of endorsing his pro-peace and as well his pro-family message.
01:37 The Pope on Friday will be meeting Mr Orban as well as the Hungarian president, as well
01:43 as other officials, both political as well as church leaders.
