00:46On the left, France Unbowed criticised the Prime Minister for starting what they call

00:51a social war, pointing out that the measures focus on the working class, pensioners and

00:56spare the wealthiest.

00:58According to Jean-Luc Mélenchon from the far left, there is no room for debate nor compromise.

01:05It's a terrible budget that's unfair and burdens to French people with the equivalent

01:10of the tax breaks granted to the richest since 2017.

01:13The Green and Communist parties are also pushing to remove Francois Bayrou, but to topple the

01:20government, they'll need the help of the Socialist Party MPs, who have called for the

01:24budget plan to take on a more socialist approach or also take part in a vote of censure.

01:29For us, in any case, the budget presented is not votable under these conditions in the

01:36National Assembly.

01:38The budget will be debated in October.

01:40The government has until then to find a compromise, but failed.
