A gang member who carried out a number of shooting attacks on homes in Birmingham has been jailed for 14 years. Sameen Khan from Alum Rock was was present when three of the attacks took place in Saltley and sentenced to 14 years and four months at Birmingham Crown Court this week.
Improvements will need to be made at the Birmingham Women and Children's NHS Foundation Trust following inspections. The trust was issued with a letter of intent telling them urgent enforcement action would be taken if significant assurances were not made.
All National Express bus services in and around Birmingham will stop as over 3,300 staff strike over pay. Action will begin on Thursday 16th March - coinciding with RMT train strikes that will also be taking place on the same day.
