An aspiring lawyer who stabbed a man 11 times in a '"frenzied" attack following a row over the price of car parts has been jailed for seven years. Ihtisham Khan knifed his victim multiple times leaving him with life-threatening injuries.

Residents say they have begun to plan a 'resistance' to budget plans amid fears that a number of areas may see their library shut. Amidst the cuts put forward is a proposed change to the Neighbourhood Advice and Information Service and community libraries services into 'community living rooms'.

Plans for new apartment blocks north of Icknield Square have been recommended for approval. The development would deliver a new public plaza as well as a walking/cycling connection between the mainline canal and Icknield Square.
